what a noob, the paperclip had some plastic on the ends so was not making proper contact :o  :D

its now running and by the looks of it no initial leaks.

how long does it take for the froth to go?

thanks

lol duh.

well i just set mine up in the last hour, filled it up and just go lol

running for the last hour, 41 idle @ 2.93Ghz quad goodness :D

btw im using the thermaltake bigwater SE, and im proud :D

Any ideas how I get rid of these bubbles and froth been running in a loop now for around 2 and half hours

Top the system up if you can, tilt the system to get the trapped air.

I've topped up the res and its at the desired level I think.Above the minium res line anyway.

do you mean just tilt the whole case over on its side?

Is this safe?

lol

Yip. It's the best way to do it! I have built watercooling loops in the past that are tested and excess air taken out in less than 1hr. Just make sure you stress each joint by moving the tubing about and you don't need to leak test for 24hrs.

I'd guess the upside down rad has trapped an air bubble that will generate froth till its filled.

Can you tip the case on its side so the outlet barb on the rad is at the top and run it that way for a while. (+ check the res is sealed and it and the pump don't move about too much)

Think I have cracked it!

I did another case spin and changed the speed of the pump to number 2.

I would say there is 75% less bubbles :)

Will leave running another hour to see :)
