No, not really... I love BTW but it does need to be at front of the album to work. I think the video imagery sticks with the track and makes it seem different... with another video, or if you hadn't seen it you might think otherwise... maybe

I'm glad Spectre was not on it... the sound fits, but it was made for a purpose, and I hear Bond all over it. Why oh why didn't they use it instead of that god awful Smith thing :confused:

Agree with Nitefly. If it didn't have the RH brand name associated with it, and TY being distinctively cliche TY on it, this record would go completely unnoticed by the middle class masses as it sailed into the distance and over the horizon in a supersaturated sea of mediocre, experimental ambient and effects laden electronic music before plummeting into the murky depths to disintegrate alone. It's just a terrific nonsense, nothing more.

At least Muse have the decency to not pretend that they are being serious anymore.

Totally agree with this unfortunately

Without the Radiohead name on it, this album would be totally ignored.

Anyone raving how great it is is kidding themselves.

Compared to the brilliance of OK computer, this is just terrible.

They could release an album of Thom Yorke expelling gas from his anus and people would say how great it was.

No they wouldnt. TKOL was and is not really rated that highly in terms of RH lps, along with Pablo Honey.

The problem is comparing everything to OKC, which is always going to feature in the top 10 of any greatest album ever list. They are just never ever going to live up to that album.

For a long time Radiohead were my favourite band but their last couple of albums are just devoid of anything.

And saying less people would be listening to an album if it didn't have an artist linked to it is stupid. You could say that about any album from an artist you already know about.

I like burn the witch and a couple of others are ok I guess but it's a pretty poor album overall. No better than king of limbs which I also really struggled to like.

I just feel they aren't even trying anymore.

Where is the sonic diversity we used to hear from them? It's the same old muted synths and keyboards all the way through the album. No hooks at all.

Obviously nobody here is Willing to accept what I'm trying to say because dismissing Radiohead just isn't allowed. Definitely a case of the emperors new clothes here...

I'll look at the album based on whether it stimulates me or not.

I find it an interesting listening with some beautiful melodies.

I'm no RH fanboi...Its just music.

It doesn't offend my ears like most chart music, but I do find it boring. Sort of thing I'd have on in the background without really listening.

I remember when Radiohead's music really grabbed your attention and demanded really listening too.

They make concept elevator music these days

You do get a download if you get the special edition or vinyl. Considering the wait, the least they could have done would have been to offer the MP3 to CD buyers.

BTW something has changed on Dead Air Space with the artwork being replaced by a B&W photo with the caption 'you are lost' ... maybe a new video, or something else happening :confused:
