Rainbow Six:Vegas 2

I've heard you have to correct the FOV with the PC version as its 90 by default, maybe 110 for 16:9 ?

Put your own head on your character using a webcam should be a laugh in multiplayer.

Played a few levels tonight and thought the graphics looked fine tbh.

The textures could do with a bit more polish in some areas but on the whole I thought they looked decent enough.

Framerate was surprisingly smooth as well with all game settings maxed except for aa which I had set to 4, although I do only game at 1280x1024.

Lol, I guess so. :)

I recently bought the Yuraku version of ocuk's DGM 24" as well, tis a decent monitor, but I'll still be gaming on my trusty old Dell P1130 for a while yet.

I've been playing through some of this also, graphics are pretty poor. Runs smoothly and nothing's specifically ugly, but it's generally just bland and boring to look at. There's no attention to detail whatsoever.

Mine came through today, and i really quite like it, much more polished than Vegas 1 (PC) and seems more fast paced.

But, does anyone have any sound issues ? Certain things seems really quite (team mates or hostages speaking) and some enemy gun fire just doesnt make a noise, i think somethings a little bugged there, its strange.

Anyhoo, well worth the money :).

I've played a fair few missions, seems like 1 but they've improved the performance on the PC, the player animations and skins look better but like mentioned the surroundings are still a bit dull.

The points/rank system is basic but still a nice touch.

Still not as good as r6:RS

No widescreen goodness for you
Well if that bothered me I'd run the game on the Yuraku or the hdtv, like I tried to say above though I prefer to game on a 4:3 crt.

The option of switching resolutions to gain a higher framerate without any loss of quality to the image is still too appealing to get rid of it anytime soon. :)

I am too busy trying not to be shot to notice how bad the boxes look.

Hehe :) Well im really liking the game, technically its such a vast improvement over Vegas 1 on the PC, it feels more like a multiplatform game now rather than something rushed from the 360. It does have a slight "expansion pack" feel to it but im not complaining, as i loved the first one and craved more (although id love it if they returned back to the series hardcore roots).

Hold off for a demo if you can. Got mine today and regretting it so far.

Does not support the 360 controller at all even though it has options for it you cannot select it. Ubi have a tech forum and they have not responded to the many people with the same issue.

Bigger problem is that so far the gfx and textures in particular look like exact console textures as in not even updated for the PC (which a lot of other ports to be fair usually have high res textures).

This port is pretty poor graphically and feels more like a RSV6 mission pack than a full release.

That cardboard box texture is horrendous :/

What were they thinking?

your really not supposed to be nit picking they way you do, no wonder your not having a good time with this and prob many other games that are not perfect in EVERY way.

there is a game under those graphics , just play it.

Well excuse me.

My favourite game is Urban Terror. Urban Terror is a full modification based on the quakeIII engine. It runs maxxed out on my laptop's GMA900. Ergo, I don't have a problem with a game based solely on its graphical prowess.

Saying that, that box texture in the screenshot above sticks out like a sore thumb.. if *all* the textures were that bad, it'd just be a crappy graphics game.. but they're not, it's more like they *forgot* to replace the draft textures in some places. It's a lazy console port.
