Rainbow Six:Vegas 2

I've been playing it for a while, but for some reason if I turn anti-aliasing on, regardless of settings, 1-10 I think it is...my graphics screw up and turn patchy.

Whats causing this? I thought my 8800GT would handle this.

What drivers you using ? My 8800GT + latest beta drivers it works perfectly.

I love the blatent remake of the refinery level from Raven Shield that has been chucked in. It looks worse than the orignal.

yeah i noticed that, and there's also a few R6:RS maps on terrorist hunt (like presidio)

Just finished the game, bit short, bit easy but not all bad, enjoyed it more than the original

Just love this game, theres nothing more satisfying than storming a whole building and getting it right, sticking silencers on in infaltration mode, stacking your guys against doors while you flank and then BAM doors open and all Tangos drop in unison (its a beautiful thing) what a feeling at the end of a run like that. Who cares about graphics this games about tactics and understanding. Im loving it. :D

so? does the box texture spoil the gameplay? you know what gameplay is don't you? the gameplay has hardly been mentioned in this thread you all complaining like whiny teenagers .

As I said before, this game lacks attention to detail. Things don't seem to break, smash or move much, and when they do it doesn't look particularly good. There are plenty of older games that have looked and felt far more impressive.

As for the gameplay, it's nothing special either.

If you want tactics, play Raven Shield. Vegas and Vegas 2 just seem to constantly tell you what to do the entire time.

I have it on pc, and (as shocking as this may sound) the controls are terrible!!
With a 360 pad they are fine but with a mouse and keyboard they are awful. On the mouse you have to click down your scrol wheel a lot which is annoying.

Played em all. Agreed RS is very good but thread is about vegas 2 so didnt mention it.:)

Very unimpressed with Vegas 2. Nothing new, bar the XP system, which I guess is nice. Very little control over the graphics settings in the game (although due to Epic's UE3 technology being mainly developed for consoles *shudder*)

All in all, not worth buying for the PC.

I didnt play the 1st one and dont have a 360, so aside from SWAT that I played a few years ago it is something new to me.
Also the graphics are a little on the crap side vegas2 was obviously not created with the pc in mind:p

very true. Although in its defense, the Rainbow Six games have never been outstanding in the graphics department, so its a pretty standard expectation from ubisoft these days

Of what I've seen of it so far the AI is a bit hit-and-miss. Sometimes they appear to flank you intelligently, other times you will get 10+ guys rappelling down the same line onto a pile of dead bodies (and shortly after joining them). Played a Terrorist Hunt game earlier and I literally had 15 guys come down one line and land on top of the dead bodies at the bottom.
