Ramadan Mubarakh..!

What times are you not allowed to eat/drink from?

Suffering from Hayfever and feeling dehydrated enough as it is no matter how much I drink, I'd really struggle to do this.

You should have a FAQ in the OP to answer the questions that get asked every year. They're ALWAYS the same!!

Anyway, have fun and enjoy, although my colleagues were telling me it starts tomorrow :p

Good luck with the fasting guys

Ramadhan Mubarak to everyone fasting.
Yes it will be difficult and testing this year, but insha'Allah there will be more reward!
Enjoy it guys and make plenty of dua

is that really what you're supposed to be thinking of - that you can get 'more reward' out of it if it is a tougher year?

Then why doesn't everyone run by Mecca time then?

Seems silly otherwise.

because the rules were made up before they realised there would be issues in the arctic circle (which might make sensible people think that perhaps there isn't an Allah else his supposed messenger may have been able to foresee the obvious problem) they've then had to make up some workaround later

What about night workers, I've always wondered. If you're asleep during daylight hours, you're meeting the terms of fasting. Can you fast during the night to make up for it, or is that innovation...

In SA people sleep during the day and stay up at night.

They're still fasting as they didn't eat or drink during the day time.

My one won't be, as Ramadan isn't the exact dates each year, the sunrise/sunset times will vary ;)

I'm looking at the timetable and it's 2:49 - 9:40

Yeah the fast doesn't start from sun rise, it's just before the 1st prayer (Fajr) starts. Gonna be tough but that's what I thought last year and managed. Going to try some peanut based protein shakes this year.
