AFAIK,it uses a Broadcom BCM2835 SOC. The CPU section is ARM11 and the GPU section is meant to be more powerful than the one found in the newer versions of the OMAP4 SOC.

I emailed the main guy of this project to ask him if this has access to the i2c host controller. He replied saying it does.

This is really going to be fun!! Allowing kids to play about with electronics and programming at the same time.

I cannot wait.

In the mean-time, I'm sticking with my openmoko neo freerunner.

Woop Woop.

Still waiting to see how the XBMC dev are getting along with it. If they can get it working to a suitable standard (long shot) then would get a few of these :)

Looking foward to this!

Shame they didn't use a newer cpu core for better web performance/v7 compatability (qualcomm have recently moved to cortex A5 for the low end SOCs, its a v.nice upgrade) but it'll do and the dual core gpgpu looks ace, 25gflops! (Hmm, will 128/256mb shared be enough for gta3? :p)

I'll definitely be getting one of these, see how it copes with day-to-day programming and web use and then look at selling my overpowered stuff if it can perform with the menial tasks I need now.

Sign me up for 5 :)

Going to embed one of these in the back of an old 19" Dell TFT. Anyone know of a nice compact wireless (Bluetooth?) media keyboard with laptop style touch pad or track ball with good linux support?
