I have a 5V 3A device I got off the auction site for £12. Any ideas how to overclock the Pi3? Now got a HSF set up on it.

I think you have to do it manually through the config.txt. It has definitely been done, a few people were making Reddit posts about it the day after release.

Just buy the official PSU, it's like £6

If your are using the Raspbian distro then you should just be able to safely set the overclock using raspi-config.

Can you do that for the Pi3 though? It was definitely disabled on launch.

It was disabled at launch for the 3, I think the Foundation hasn't yet done the testing to figure out what a "safe" overclock for it is, especially with all of the heat it seems to generate.

Great stuff thanks. Looking to order one this evening any recommendation the best place to get one. I've heard the pi hut are Hit and miss with delivery times. Want this though for Rasplex for my high bitrate BluRay remuxes. I have a Android box but don't like the plex android app its not very good and the Samsung Smart hub plex client not the best either lol

Try cpc.co.uk as they are one of the 'official' distributors, and offer free delivery too!

I have always had good service from them myself.

Never had any problems with PiHut even with free post most stuff turns up within a couple of days

Thanks for the Replies Gents is they anything that i need when buying one anything that would work better with a bundle like SD card or power supply exc?

I normally use Samsung microSD cards plus the official power supply but most phone or iPhone/Pad chargers work ok

I'm running Retropie from a 32gb SD card on a Pi B.

I've just installed Kodi on it as a Port following a Youtube video.

Now, I've been able to set it up so I can control it via my phone (haven't tried the SNES controller yet). I've got it to access my server + read my movies but I have a problem.

Weather, skins, add-ons etc, whenever I go to "Get more" nothing appears. I was hoping to run thing like Netflix etc as well (an looking at upgrading to a faster PI) but I just can't seem to get it to work.

Any ideas?

It is reading the movies ok and is fetching the info from the movie database ok.

Recieved my pi3 yesterday first one iv'e had not put it together yet. Got it from pi hut in a box ordered it friday off the rainforest got it yesterday. Can't believe the size of it. Going to put Rasplex on it
