Nope, I disagree.

I think if you take your rose tinted specs off and step back you'd see that Evra / Cole are on the same level imo, very similar players and the difference between them so small it's down to personal preference.

I'd also put Lahm up there with those two as well, maybe not as good getting forward (can cross a ball very well) but easily as good if not better in defence.

He's good going forward he just doesn't have the pace to get back if he's caught out like Evra and Cole.

I've read that Evra struggles to keep up with him and when he does he knocks him off the ball anyway.

Valencia is a beast.

Its funny, when I see him run he never looks that fast but he kind of gets in to a stride and is gone.

There was on instance in the game yesterday where Valencia just ran through Cole who showed very little strength.

Lahm is excellent going forward but has looked very suspect defensively, that's the reason he isn't up there with Evra/Cole. Judging Cole and Evra on world cup performances in two completely **** teams is incredibly harsh. Evra had the utterly useless Ribery ahead of him and Cole had....well Capello didn't actually play a left winger because he's a moron.
