RDNA 3 rumours Q3/4 2022

You (and others) seemed to be having a dig at AMD for having a launch but not having cards available for 2/3 weeks later. I was pointing out nVidia did the same. I wasn't commenting on their release schedule. These things are planned months in advance.

Not a dig, just observation that they are late "compared" to their competitor....

As troezar said though, if they have a good card, stock and pricing then all is forgiven but if not, well....

December is late in the year to be releasing a new product line, but maybe it's this way to help clear old inventory

This too although obviously amd won't be saying that is the reason if so and of course, people will deny that is the reason ;) :p

I wouldn't call it late, just keeping to their release schedule which historically for the last few generations has been to release after Nvidia. Arguably a clever move from AMD, allows them to guage the response to Nvidia's offering and price accordingly. A certain group of people are going to buy Nvidia regardless of what or when AMD release so them being a few weeks behind is no big deal really.

I think these autumn/winter releases are odd as it usually means the mainstream cards won't be available till spring. At which point people will be more interested in going outside and enjoying the sun in the northern hemispehere.

If i'm spending money on the PC it's between September and January really, not going to bother in Spring/Summer, so it looks like being Autumn 2023 for me.

They are not late because they decided on a announcement date that differs from someone you favor. It's like saying your dinner is late when the table in front of you receives their food because they ordered a bit earlier. It really gets petty saying that.

I seriously doubt they need your forgiveness. We shouldn't have such emotional dependencies with any company who provides a product or service. It's not emotionally/psychologically healthy. When there are so many good things to live for.

What difference does it really make when they decide to release a product? We've reach equilibrium, now, with the games out there. Every game I've played doesn't require a next gen gpu. We are at a point in PC gaming where we are not trying to catch up to software engines attempting to play games at an acceptable frame rate. Take the release of MW 2022. I now cap my frame rates to 160 FPS and can dominate the matches. I certainly don't "need" a 7900xtx at this point. That's just one example. But this has been my gaming experience for sometime now. And I am loving it. LOL.

The thing is some post they are neutral or once upon a time in lands forgotten bought an AMD card which qualifies them to not be fanboy. However its quite obvious the people posting the same negative slants in the threads have some form of kick for this brand v brand nonsense.

Are AMD late or were Nvidia early? I'd say Nvidia were early given the issues they hadn't quite ironed out. Best to be first but bad if it hurts your image. AMD just need to get pricing right, everything else will be excused if they do that right.

This is an open Goal for AMD of they come in with good prices they can destroy Nvidias image, show them as greedy over charging and anti consumer.

only 2 days until we find out if they will take thst path.

If they do i hope people are smart enough to slap down those who say stupid crap like "oh but AMD are the budget brand"

It's all about performance AMD "were" the budget brand when they only released the 480 I had one a good budget GPU but in recent years and with the 6000 they have been making an effort.

If someone says AMD is a budget brand if they release a 1k GPU then they're a moron.

We saw what AMD has done to Intel's pricing structure,if AMD do the same thing on the GPU side, one thing and only one thing is true

The next couple of generations are going to beautiful be competitive and all round great for consumers.
