Reacher - Amazon TV series 2022

Why did two of the team getting captured happen off-screen?!?!?!?! I mean the one time they got bested and we don't even get to see it!

This week was all just setup for the finale next week. Enjoyed it for what it was, but they've left a lot to wrap up, hope its a 1 hour episode.

Yeah, "you don't mess with the hundred and tenth" unless it's for plot progression reasons :)

I'm in agreement that S1 was better than S2. S1 had a much smaller, and better acted ensemble, and they were more supporting actors, whereas in this season he is rarely "going in" alone.

Also the more I watch this season the more wooden Reacher appears to be, and as has been said elsewhere, less likeable. Having read several of the books, his ability to "off" people quite casually is true to the books, but appears to me that they are only being a bit more obvious about that character trait lately, which is complicating the persona they've build up to now.

Pity they killed off the cop, mighta been good for just him and reacher for a 3rd season.

I will say I liked the hospital scene in this one. I must have seen a hundred variants of it in different shows and I think that's the first time any of them thought about the heart rate monitor.

Definitely preferred S1 to this but S2 wasn't "bad" for me but a very bland 5/10 that I almost certainly wouldn't watch again, whereas I like re-watching S1 clips on YT shorts etc.

Someone mentioned Ritchson's increased size this season made him slow and ungainly in flights, running etc and I completely agree with that. To me he definitely looked more "lumbering" than S1 which I found to be a detriment to the action scenes, alongside the obviously Tier One/SAS/SEAL/FBI HRT trained "police officers" on his team :D

I liked the season, I found it very easy to watch. This reminds of when Hollywood was able to put out entertaining TV shows (even if it was bit by the numbers).

Stayed up till midnight to watch the finale. The final episode was quite rushed and very hollywood-actiony. Overall good ending. Hinted that Season 3 would be him off somewhere solo with maybe Nealy popping up, which I'm fine with as it sounds more like S1.

Not bothered about his size increase this season, if anything it makes him more imposing. Hope he's even more jacked up next season :p

Jesus wept... Not sure what to say about S2....

S1 was engaging, interesting and Reacher actually had a bit of character about him. S2 - he was just a clichéd "action" movie star with stupid one liners etc....

This season smacked from the first episode of "look at us - we have a big budget now".....

Dreadful acting, awful storyline - totally "spoon" feeding the clues to follow..... "oh look at his car parking pass down the side of the seat" - "lets go check that out" etc etc....

Even treating it as "switch brain off" TV it was very poor.....

I think someone mention online there was 187 dead bodies across 8 episodes, including a massive helicopter crash, multiple police officers killed etc.... But no one seemed bothered.

The snipers in the graveyard were just embarrassing - hired hitmen with sniper rifles and can't hit a barn door from 100m etc....

I just finished Season 2 and agree with many of the comments here. Season 1 was a lot better. It's been reported they have begun filming S3, I hope they go back-to-basics, less exploding helicopters, more character development please.

Just starting ep8 now, trying to avoid reading or writing any spoilers but that first scene is this series in a nutshell isn't it.

Abysmal episode
Everyone pointing gun at reacher but he walks up to someone and headbuts him pretty much takes out the rest. Then they decide not shoot him in the leg after they know what he's capable of. On the plane, the guy explaining to him about using the nuckle duster instead of smashing his face. Reacher holding the bed and langstram doesn't shoot him or stomp his head. The middleman not making a last minute call to make sure langstram is there after being so cautious. The other guy being shot then bullet taken out with a knife? Yea let's not go to a hospital but go to a diner in this state without cleaning up.

Is a buckle buster anything like a knuckle duster?

Anyway, I enjoyed the finale from a “completely silly” perspective but it all happened a bit quick. I did like
the shootout at the warehouse
.

I would happily watch 8 hours of Serinda Swan doing unboxing videos or something.
