Reacher - Amazon TV series 2022

But some ere voted this the best show of the year
I mean I'm not sure who would vote S1 as a show of the year, regardless of the year it came out, it's good mindless fun, for sure, but show of the year? Absolutely not.

Season 2 isn't doing much at the moment.

Well todays episode had its UPS and then came crashing down and just made me hate S2 even more :(

Honestly, nothing makes sense anymore. Bunch of crap.

Big fan of the books, season 1 was good.

Cannot get on with season 2 at all, it’s just too silly.

What a waste of a character.

And heavily telegraphed too which is unusually poor writing compared to S1 - Spoilers - When Russo had that conservation on the doorstep I knew they wouldn't last the episode alive and figured pretty much how it'd go down too to give them a "good" ending, only I guessed that Reacher would be holding their hand at the end.

Elsewhere I felt it was a better episode but still missing the magical x-factor that S1 had, and I still think its "too much team, not enough Reacher" despite me liking the team (actors and characters).

Yeah, are we entirely sure he didn't think it was NYPD after him?
Exactly. He mentioned when on the phone to Reacher that it could be either his corrupt bosses men or terminator bad guys men.

Anyway, this season is definitely different to season 1. The team, the travelling across states, the big city setting. Season 1 was great, with it's small setting in comparison.

Season 2 is different, I'm only enjoying it slightly less than season 1 overall. Not read or don't care about the books.

And to me, it's pretty lazy writing. Dies, leaving cover and slowly walking towards men with automatic guns... wow, who would have though!

See, I can almost understand that tactic but for a very specific "TV show" reason, but even then, in reality, its still wouldn't make full sense - He knows the girl is the target, he knows if she runs away the bad guys will shoot at her, so he needs to give the gunmen a more important target/threat to shoot at which he decides will be is him, so it doesn't "work" if he uses the car for cover with his last magazine, hence the slow walk out knowing he'll probably die but giving the girl the best chance - In reality I think he'd just stay behind the car and shoot from there as that gives him the best chance of taking out the bad guys with accurate fire, and that would be the distraction needed by the girl to escape.

It was so ridiculous. There would be multiple precincts or colleagues he trusted, anywhere safer than a many mile long pursuit through somehow empty city streets.

I appreciate the show is meant to be a bit daft and OTT but this series has been pretty bad. Hired assassin's who can't hit static targets with sniper rifles and then do a runner when it kicks off. Then you have Biker gangs who street brawl with women half their size and don't even put a mark on their face.

I've watched 6 episodes so they must be doing something right. But man it's been a stupid 6 episodes.

Yeah bit of a waste of what was turning into a decent character there...

As for Dixon vs Roscoe, I'd not complain either way..
