Source TPU here and here

So far i don't think they are, i think Nvidia are much worse. Other then the 7900XT what you get vs the last generation with AMD has been pretty good, lets see if that continues.

With Nvidia other than the 4090 its all just bad, some of it really very bad.

I will add to this as more cards get released.

Takes note. Buys another Nvidia GPU :D

In all honesty though, yeah, they maybe not as bad. But always waiting for Nvidia to release their cards and then releasing theirs at a slight discount does not make them much better in my book.

You don't go from OMG 4080 terrible value bla bla to oh look, 7900 XTX is great. They are both way over priced. Both should be sub £800 GPU's and if AMD wanted to be the good guys they should have come out swinging pricing the card as such.

Oh and please sort out FSR. They need to have higher requiments from devs or just have a dedicated team they send to devs to avoid poor version of it being shipped like they did in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

China wants a few billion worth of NvidAI cards, so get in line PC gamer peasants and know your place. AMD again managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of defeat, too busy making hand over fist money selling CPUs to datacentre.

Mm..

3080: $699 MSRP
4080: $1199 MSRP (86% more expensive)

Performance
3080: 100%
4080: 148%

The fact that they sold even one of those ^^^ is mindblowing to me.

Incredible headline, how was it neweggs best selling GPU. I think many just buy it without thinking much about it

The Nvidia RTX 4080 is Newegg's best-selling GPU, but the card doesn't make Amazon's top 20

Its snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

AMD aren't as bad.
But they're not pretty good either.

The 7900XT was bad, i've always said that.

But 50% more performance for the same money (7900XTX vs 6900XT)
And 27% more performance for 22% less money (6600 vs 7600)

I think is pretty good, i don't recall ever getting much better than that. If they continue in that vain its good.

Nvidia's RRP of the 3XXX must be your favourite cards ever launched then lol.

The 7900XTX can never be "good" because it followed Nvidia's boning us with halo products, just like the 6900XT.

They would have been, at least for a while, had the 3070 had more than 8GB, i think that was a decent GPU, could have been better, but not at all bad, 2080Ti for 2070 Money, aside from having only 8GB of VRam, that is what ultimately put me right off it, i did buy a 2070 Super.

I was just starting to get tempted on a 4080 until I read this! 4070 TI and 4090 certainly looks (marginally) more attractive now.

The 7600 looks to be a good upgrade to my GTX 1660. Will be at least a year until I can get a new display and then another year for a better GPU. Hopefully AMD bring out a 12gb 7600 XT. But I know I am dreaming.

I will probably upgrade next gen, but I’d only go AMD if their RT was sorted and they had some dedicated ML hardware.

There’s little doubt that the gaming industry won’t keep exploring those tech areas.
