Really struggling

Dude, if this is a serious post:

Just what are you doing with 3 mortgages? Your flat isn't that expensive (I've seen it - I sorted your PC a while back), and you get company vehicle\fuel allowance... you'll have to get rid of one or two properties, or dip into your savings.

Strange, I thought you all would be turning nasty by page 2, at least you've lasted to page 3.

What do you expect, a lot of people earn what you GIVE your sister here, maybe you should have thought about this before willy waving your wages around and saying your poor

I worked hard to gain what I have, I do not wish to lose it. I never mentioned any numbers in my OP.

Your only 28, from what I read earlier on, if that is the case I doubt you have worked THAT hard! most people spend 30 years trying to earn that kinda money and then still come up short

I was asked to provide details, which I did. According to you all and what you are used to, I should live in a 3 bed detached, drive an old Honda while my girlfriend catch the bus to her cafe job. I'll go be worried elsewhere, thanks for all replies, I trust you all feel better now.

No what we are saying is your NOT "really struggling" because to be fair you earn 8k a flipping month! Jesus please DO go somewhere else and moan because no one here will have ANY sympathy for you.

Something doesn't add up with the Sister here.

Why are you paying her Uni fee's? The SLC will pay her fee's with a seperate fee's loan which she pays off at a pittance only once she has a decent job. You dont pay fees up front anymore?

Why are you giving her a GRAND A MONTH? It costs nowhere near that to go through Uni. I lived at home for Uni but my girlfriend didnt and there was no way it was costing her a grand a month, no way at all.

Something isn't right with the sister thing.

My biggest problem is my sister. I'm paying for her flat, university fees and £100 a week spending money and mobile phone. I lose about 1k a month on her. If I can get that back, it'll help. Problem, I cannot do that to her.

You're kidding, right?! She's at university, and she's getting £100 pw spending money?!

I earn £27.5k per year, and I don't get £100 per week of disposible income...

You need to sort that out pronto. I understand not wanting to suddenly cut off paying for her flat, but she can take out a student loan to pay her fees and get a job to fund her spending money (just like everyone else does / did when at Uni).

- Shop at Aldi (me and the Mrs do half our shop there and it saves us £30 per week!)
i remember 10 years ago when aldi was a joke me and the missus had a look around and came out with one steak and ale pie lol , she said it tasted awful and didnt eat more than a bite, for some reason my missues went back there a couple of months ago and everything she bought tasted really good they did a full uturn at some.

takes the **** to have someone think they are struggling when they clearly are not

Try living in my missus parents situation and see how you feel then mr multi mortgage, they have worked there asses off for many years and im willing to bet harder than you have, only to be shafted with their situation through some very unfortunate circumstances, just because you have worked hard doesn't mean they haven't

IF you are struggling you have 100 ways out of it, and no debt, they on the other hand do not and have had to go down some very difficult paths

pointless thread, lock it and sort your own life you, you don't need anyone to tell you what to do as your not struggling AT ALL

Income

8k (give or take a few hundred)

outgoing

4k mortgages
1k sis
1k private pension (mine, she has hers through work)
1k fixed expenses including food and living
1k saving for unexpected and holiday and cars.

Epic LOL.

20k in the bank, two holiday homes. A sponging sister. 1k per month for any unexpected holidays and cars lol lol lol lol

You are taking the pee dude. Why even post? I lost my job and the dole people have taken 4 months and still haven't paid me any money. I'm living on £60 for three months lol

Seriously sell your holiday homes, save that 1k a month instead of "for unexpected holidays and cars" (do you holiday at your holiday homes?)

1k fixed for food and other expenses, what the hell do you have that costs a grand a month? oh wait... it must be the 3x elecy and gas bills on your three houses...

Seriously... wtf

I promised her I would. She have a social anxiety disorder and a whole load of other problems. She can work, just not with people. She is studying to become a vet, so once that's done, she said she will pay me back. She study 24/7 and is devoting her life to this, I'd hate to throw her life into array and tell her to get a job.

1 how is she doing uni if she cant work with people?

2 how will she be able to work as a vet if she cant work with people?

I was going to say the same thing, but seems I don't have to bother now.

You are an idiot, people are stuggling to live earning only 12k a year, and you are 'saving' that a year for 'holidays' and yet you have the right to complain you have no money?

wtf?

yea thats pure BS can goto uni but cant work..... pull the other one lol she thinks VET's only talk to animals? lawl.

if this is true why dont you just rent out your holiday homes? surely they should be paying the mortage themselfs.

your sister isnt in poverty either so much disposable income no worries about money.....

didn't notice that bit! ive had social anxiety disorder (still do) paying for her uni fees won't help AT ALL

The only way to get out of it is it get out there and put yourself in the situations you hate, that is how you get over it, that is what im doing and i am getting over it (though it's still a bit problematic at times)

regulus you are not helping your sister at all even though you may think you are

-Removed comment but i still mean it-

The credit crunch certainly stings.

Im having to drive my porsche instead of my ferrari to scrape back extra cash on fuel.

Ive had to fire the cleaners in my 6 holiday homes. And instead of flying first class im having to fly with the poor people when I go on my 8 holidays a year.

Damn this recession!
