They are reported missing right now, which..well that aint good.I see all the headlines talking about how all the passengers on the airliner are fine but what about the other plane it presumably hit ? the explosion was huge.
Several unaccounted for, one escaped.I see all the headlines talking about how all the passengers on the airliner are fine but what about the other plane it presumably hit ? the explosion was huge.
Not looking good, early reports are still up to 5 crew of the other aircraft still missing (Coast Guard?) Captain appears to have survived. Seeing the size of the fireball from the collision, I'd not put high hopes of survival if they havnt already been located.I see all the headlines talking about how all the passengers on the airliner are fine but what about the other plane it presumably hit ? the explosion was huge.
Thankfully events such as this are very rare, much rarer than other means of transport. If anything this just goes to prove the safety, procedures and capability of the response services, that in even a collision such as this, that so many survived. Shouldnt have happened, however you can only fight the odds for so long. Regardless of the safety procedures, eventually an incident/mistake will be made.Pictures like that make me never want to get on a plane again!
Indeed. I can't help remembering the last video of an airplane evacuation where people were trying to collect their hand baggage out of the lockers etc. Good job nobody was that stupid this time around! Safest form of travel.Pictures like that make me never want to get on a plane again!
It looks like that yes from the videos. ATC or coastguard pilot error it looks like. First hull loss for the A350.I'm assuming the coast guard plane was on the runway when the JAL was landing?
