Recommend me some trance?

suprising one for me, heard last week on JoC's podcast - Cosmic Gate ft. Emma Hewitt - Not enough time.

I loved it the first 57 times i heard it but after a track has been whored so many times on the radio you can't help but come to hate it :(

Anyone bought Dave Pearce's new album? just got it off I-Tunes... i'm only 4 tracks in and in love :D

It looks exactly the same as every other trance classics cd i've ever seen. I will, however, give him credit for including this:

Poloroid - So Damn Beautiful (Dogzilla Mix)

Heck of a tune, does anyone know a (legal) download site that i can this from? I've checked the usual places... bp, tid, aj etc

As i said to another member, this mix is a celebration of the kind of music i love, both in style and in individual tracks that i have stood out for me in clubs and house parties over the past few years. It's very upbeat and energetic, rarely slowing in pace and with no time for intros/outros or long breakdowns! I've tried to keep a reasonable balance of new tracks from the past month or 2, some of the picks from the past 3 years and of course a couple of genuine classics. As well as trance i've drifted towards techno in places, again a reflection of my home listening.

I bought myself some decks just before Christmas and i would have loved to have recorded the mix on them, but the poor quality of my mixer and the lack of time to practise made me opt for Ableton. It's probably worth saying this is my first Ableton mix for about 9 months or so, i have to say it's a bloody fun program to use.

This was very much a mix for myself and whether anyone else like it or not, it doesn't matter because i ****ing love it :)

Sorry to disagree but i wish JOC had stuck to his boshy style. These crappy vocal tracks do nothing at all for me and the album is full of them :(

Broken is the best track on the album.

Ah i see, ive got loads of mixes, a massive trance fan, been djing since i was 17, i'm now 31

got an awesome serato setup using a cdj 800mk2 numark icdx and a technics 1200 mk2, with a stanton m505 mixer

LOVE TO SPIN :D

Get some tracklists up! Google will point us in the direction of links i'm sure

Just not the same as mixing with vinyl? No of course not, it's like mixing with CDs...

I don't understand why the means is important to so many people. My favourite DJ of the minute uses Ableton and frankly his sets sound amazing. What he does couldn't be reproduced using CDs or vinyl. Is that important? No, all that matters is that what I hear through the speakers sounds good.
