Recommend me some trance?

Shup foo!

I did bassline corssovers, cuts, high-pass filtering and the equivalent to pressing the off button on a deck. :(

Heck, I even edited the end of Voice to allow for an actual outro instead of the abrupt ending it actually has.

Same way I've always mixed, just using a different medium.

*sulks*

hehe. i haven't listened to it all yet, but the first hour i don't think there was single bit i can remember hearing 2 records being played together in the mix.... just goes to show my ignorance :o certainly seems like a radio show compared to your previous mixes. :)

I think you would find that it is seamless, harmonic mixing ;)

Most of the transitions are a minute or more in length :p

Chilled, proggy psy lends itself more to that kind of mixing, when things get more energetic, you'll hear more of what I am guessing you want.

ableton is the dogs danglies if you've got a midi controller

bung in all the tunes you want, warp em, stick em in arrange view all phrased up, set the envelopes to draw mode, hit record and mix as normal. all your movements etc are recorded so you can tweak em after :D

krooton do you use an external mixer for ableton or a midi one?

lmfao, was just reading Smiley Man's post and thought core that blows me away everytime then read yours and it just cracked me up.

btw anyone got the album - The Worlds Greatest Trance ?

definately one of my favourite albums of all time now, some awesome tracks on there

Above & Beyond - Stealing Time
Johan Gielen - Physical Overdrive
Pulse - Point of Impact
Alex Morph & Rank 1 - Life Less Ordinary
Chicane - Saltwater (Thrillseekers House Mix) < Brilliant Mix
Ratty - Sunrise (Here I am) < What a lovely bit or trance

love the album its a must have for all trancers out there

Just got the Godskitchen - Electric album. CD1 Electric House, CD2 Electric Trance. Really enjoying it.

Super 8 & Tab - Needs To Feel [Wippenberg Remix] is really doing it for me at the moment.

Also there is a track on there Martin Landsky - 1000 Miles that I'd heard loads but now finally know the name of. Love it when that happens!

Yeah i had the same with 'the Migrants - I thought that' until recently when it happened to pop up on a Pete Tong playlist of all people!

yeah thats the one i heard , was on some music blog ripped from tongs show i think.

guess music runs in there family. his live shows as playpaul are well weird like , he djs or uses hardware for the tunes then sings any lyrics , theres a cringeworthy vid of him doing his cover of lalaland love and looking fully drugged up on you tube :p

the second cd on that album is the absolute dogs, all the tunes are absolute beasters. Espeshially the armin tune :o

Yeah, agreed. Going to be hammering that CD for a while I reckon :) Love the fact it has got Durrand's remix of Lethal Industry on there as well. The house CD isn't as strong but its not too bad.

Little tip for anyone that is going to buy their Global Gathering ticket, you can get the (Godskitchen - Electric) album for £6.99 when you buy one! Didn't know about this before I got mine, but mummy got mine with her tesco vouchers :D!

Cheers,
