Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

So I'm at the location, but keep getting some warning that theres too much activity. I've cleared my bounty, killed a bear, wipped out wolves, destroyed a local gang camp. Nope still there :/

Played it for about 5 hours but I'm kind of bored really. I'll probably hold onto it for another month just to see what the multiplayer is all about.

Though given how rubbish the combat is in the single player game that isn't going to improve things unless they have some seriously innovative ideas for the online part.

Partway through Chapter 3 now. I've warmed to the game and am quite enjoying it.

You have to leave your preconceptions about what a modern open world game is at the door though. There's not really a lot of gameplay, it's mostly a pretty back drop to the story that Rockstar want to tell you about Arthur Morgan. Once you settle into the swing of basically just being along for the ride, and stop getting frustrated at not being able to experience the world the way you want to, it's very good, in it's own unique way.

Not sure how the multiplayer's going to pan out, as the combat is pretty limited, will be interesting to find out anyway.

Part 2 of the epilogue is much more like it. Quite impressive really. Though...
it's sad that they have included basically the entire map from the first game, but hardly any content in it. So far I've come across two random encounters and that's it. If it were any other company I would say its obviously for dlc, but obviously it's for RD online, which I'm not interested in tbh.

Plus, I suppose there can't really be any dlc considering we know exactly what happens next as it goes in to RDR... Although, a dlc with Sadie as main character set in that area would be epic!

Edit - I apologise if anyone read that big spoiler I put there. It was an editing fail... I accidentally put it in quotes twice:o. I am using my phone!

Zombies like the first RDR I hope.

Looking forward to playing RDR1 again with the upgraded visuals next.

This reminds me of the first game. It was good, but no way near as good people made it out to be imo. Happy to wait and pick it up when I get a PS5 in the future.

I have to agree, it's certainly a great game but not as good as what many make out...... Great story, great setting with a very immersive/interactive game world [nothing still comes close to assassins creed unity's game world though]) and ok gunplay but there are a lot of things, which are tedious and I don't bother with such as hunting, skinning, cooking your food, brushing/patting my horse, fishing and so on..... to me those things are tedious and just boring. Unfortunately things like cleaning your guns are necessary to make sure you are getting the most from your gun otherwise its stats such as damage reduce. I can see why people like these things in games though.

I think many people are going to be very disappointed with online too..... GTA 5, it worked due to the arcadey/casual approach, with how sim/realistic this is and the clunky controls, it will just be more frustrating than fun, that and factor in the grind nature of it to get better equipment or just buy the shark cards or whatever it will be for this.....

As said, great game overall but not as good as what sites etc. say, reminds me a bit of witcher 3 and its fanbase/reviews except that game to me was a complete zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz fest with its 15 minutes of dialogue/waffling every 15 minutes.

You're to much of a simpleton to enjoy all the extra levels of depth, go play pacman :p

I've seen posts where you're throwing your toys out of the pram over people not enjoying the game. Has the opposite happened? I can't see any posts here calling people out for having the cheek to enjoy the game. Just people voicing their own complaints.

Gotta try harder than that mate.

I'm not sure with the way targeting works on a controller if PvP will be any good online, but hopefully there will be some decent, repeatable co-op PvE fun to be had.

Lol I liked the banter between John and Arthur at camp with Arthur telling John to be careful next to the water (the nod to the first RDR where John Marston would Insta die if he went into deep water.)
