Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

Put in a pre-order for the PS4 Pro/RDR2 bundle at GAME. Considering buying a 4K TV (Sony XF9005) or monitor (LG 27UK650) for this and other titles but still undecided
I used to play on a TV, but much prefer a monitor now. Feel more involved sitting in a gaming chair up close to a monitor.

Also ordered a Pro and Red Dead bundle, seriously considering upgrading from a Dell U2414H to that LG monitor. Although I only have a R5 1600 and 290x in my PC, no idea how they will handle the monitor, hmm dunno what to do

Just pre-ordered the Special Edition from Amazon for £74.99, cannot wait, loved Red Dead, is probably one of my fav all time games on PS3. Will keep me playing into 2019 until Cyberpunk 2077 comes out.

Still haven't pre-ordered, been waiting for retailers to start competing with each other a bit but it just isn't happening any more, it seems. £50 it is then!

Yeah, think you were being optimistic given it's one of the most anticipated games of the year :p

Not entirely! In the past it's usually the final few weeks when Amazon starts trying to undercut the rest of them, but everyone's holding fairly steady with their pricing. The recent increase in RRP for new releases hasn't helped either.

£48.35 from Shopto seems to be about the best I can find, that'll do!

FYI - for the very blaggers. I have just received a further email confirmation that the order is on-track. Fingers crossed for everyone else.

I want the ultimate edition however it's £90 and for that all you get is a horse and something else. They are milking this before it's launched. I'd pay £60-£70 for it but at £90 i'm thinking no.

do you not play online? the special edition seems like even worse value for money than the ultimate edition.

Minor faux-pas on my behalf, whilst I was fully aware of the release date for RDR2 I had previously booked a day off to be with wife and baby.. Since this point she's made plans to be out for the day to which I previously agreed!

My all day fiend sesh on Red Dead may not occur!

Are you saying you will spend a day with family but think about RDR2 all day? :p

Guys, I picked this monitor up yesterday. I’ll put up a post of pics and what I think of it with the Pro and overall later on in the monitors section. I’ll tag you in when I do.

Rumours coming in that the game install size will be 55GB, with a 3GB day 1 patch.

Trophies have been leaked too if you check Reddit.

Was expecting closer to 100GB to be fair.

Yeah, the the box art on the PS4 Pro bundle mentioned something like 110GB.

The data will be compressed I imagine, so it has to uncompress that and then delete the original compressed file. Same goes with a zip file on PC, you'd need twice the space of the file so you have room to unzip it.
