Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

Yes, I know that. Thing is I'm a Sony Fanbois. Ever since the days of Walkmans. My telly has always been Sony. My cameras are Sony. Plus. I really don't like Microsoft. I despise Windows and I really don't get on with the ergonomics of the Xbox controller (the last time I used one was on RDR on an Xbox - tried again on GTA V on the PC but still found it counter intuitive)

So just why is it that the PS4 Pro is not able to do 2560 x 1440?

Not that complicated is it?

neither is the answer. it's not powerful enough.

also sony make a lot of weak products in a lot of areas.

car head units - pioneer is better
AVR - other companies offer better sound and better value for money
speakers - terrible
soundbars - again samsung and yamaha are better
phones - much better options out there
tv's - LG, Samsung and Panasonic are usually just as good if not better.

it's stupid to stay loyal to them when all it is, is a brand name. if mike ashley was to buy them would you still buy sony for example?

This thread has got me confused now about the difference between the console resolutions. So are we saying my PS4 Pro and 4k tv will only run RDR2 in 1080p?

neither is the answer. it's not powerful enough.

PS4 Pro natively runs at 1920x2160, which is a 12.5% increase in pixels over 1440p (and upscales to 4k).

2560 × 1440 = 3686400
1920 x 2160 = 4147200

I can't see any games for Xbox I like to play that aren't available for Windows. Sony has Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, God of War, Spiderman and coming Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding (1 year exclusivity) as exclusives, and others.
If you are only interested in playing RDR2 at its visual best than Xbox is the one to get. If you have a gaming PC and are buying only one console PS4/Pro is a no brainer.

PS4 needs 150GB free for it lol.
That's for the digital download, the physical version is 99 GB on PS4. The extra for the digital version is for the installation process, it won't take up 150GB (the actual figure is 149 GB) once installed.
Xbox is 88.57 GB.
How many other games would you want instant access to alongside RDR2?

Installed at 91.6Gb on my PS4 Pro yesterday. Took about 3 hours in all.

Most I’ve looked forward to a game for ages. :)

Checked my install today, 98.15gb and there are still 2 items waiting to install on release day. I have the Ultimate edition. PS4 Pro.

It seems there are so many different install sizes.

This has to be digital. Preload and just boot up at midnight.

I still can’t believe it’s releasing and didn’t get another delay, but then I guess they’ve been working on it for 8 years
