Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

Friday is going to be a day of looking out the window looking for the Postman - Earlier the better please, I need to install it (2 hours??) and then download the update asap! I am currently only on 5 mb/s :(

That's my other concern. What's to stop MS and Sony from doing this?

But finally, and I suppose this may be controversial, you're supporting the developers less. For someone like EA, that might be ok for some people, but it's clear that RDR2 is going to be a ground-breaking game and a lot of work has gone into it. Working around the price to save a few pounds seems a bit off when a game this big comes along. I sure won't be buying the more expensive versions, but I'm happy to pay £50 for this even though that's quite a lot. I know I'm going to get a huge amount back for that £50 before the game is even out.

Yep I agree with this. They've been working on RDR2 for what, 8 years? What's a £50 game if you're going to get 150 hours out if it?

The developer will get the same amount regardless where you buy it from, probably the publishers cut will remain the same aswell. Only difference is the platform holder/retailer in this case.

I didn't mind going full price for this game via digital, never even crossed my mind to go a cheaper route, in fact never done it myself. I always think its easier to get a refund as well if something goes wrong or just not happy with the game, obviously RDR2 is going to be a masterpiece.... hopefully.

But how many people in Indonesia or Mexico will be playing vs those in the UK paying with pounds, which is clearly a higher price? Rockstar probably get a bigger cut of the pound value because it's the pound and they know they'll sell more as it's possibly a larger market.

Anyway, my point is that all these workarounds just to save the cost of a few coffees or a few beers seems a bit risky to me. I love paying a lower price, but I'm not happy to potentially risk my Xbox account just to save pocket change on what's going to be a AAA blockbuster title.

Holy crap, I'm kinda shocked just seen a horse death on a Russian live stream, wasn't expecting it to be the way they've done it, I thought it'd just die.
it was pretty real, a bit too real in a way (speaking as an owner of horses).

Have you seen how they skin animals too? Everythings pretty spot on, Would avoid this if you aren't prepared for life ;p

mate i'm plenty prepared for life, was shotting and skinning rabbits (for the pot) at the age of about 6. I just was caught off guard at how well they have done it tbh, nothing like anything seen in a video game before

It might be on youtube, it was at the end of a snowy scene video. I had a mate in college who had horses, I wonder if she still has. I was terrified going up close to them in the field.

Can't wait

Just seen a kill and skin on the live stream, so so cool and well done. right down to the entry wound being in the pelt!
The Vegans, Daily Mail and PETA are going to LOVE this #virtuallivesmatter lol

I have mine pre-ordered at Smyths (£44.99) and just discovered they have a midnight launch so will pick it up then and save me a trip out in traffic Friday morning. Install it when I get home and it'll be ready to play when I get up Friday morning as I have the whole day off... The problem is, I still don't know if I want it for Xb1X or PS4 Pro...
