Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

Hopefully this isn’t going to be a victim of overhype ala God of War. Still a really good game but not as incredible as the hype would have you believe.

Hopefully it will live up to the hype. Looking forward to discovering the open world.

If you haven’t yet got onto the hdr hype yet do it; it’s phenomenal! Does require an outlay of well over a grand to experience it properly though.

This is rockstar of course it will live up to the hype ! :D

When it's £10 cheaper, yes. Why would I want to pay more for something that I have to download? It seems a bit of a no-brainer to me.

This. Also my internet is not quick enough for such a game to download! Well it would take about a week...

Plus who doesn't like to sniff a new game? >.>

I’d run out of space! :p

I’d never buy a game second hand. I was being sarcastic, but personally I stopped using physical media years ago.

Still need to upgrade my PS4 HDD, I'll be going external though, not keen on fiddling with the insides.

I'm not sure if Arthur really suits just a moustache in game though, looks a bit.. 40's.
It's literally a 30 mins job and 20 mins of that is the time to reinstall software. And if for some reason it does not work, put the old drive back in..

Goodness me:

@DIABLO OK, just mentioning it, never swapped out a drive in it before.

the hardest part is making sure you have the right OS software and in the correct folder format on a USB pen drive.

as in there are 2 versions of OS software. one is an update file and the other is the complete OS. you need the complete OS version.

you then have to put it in a folder named PS4 in the root then in a folder called UPDATE or something. whatever it tells you to do.

taking the old drive out and putting the new one in is basically easy as kids making stuff out of lego. you take some screws out. put new drive in the same way the old one was in the chassis, put screws back in. then push it into the slot. it's literally a 30 second job.

People still buy physical :-O

you get stuff with the physical edition like a map, steelbook, etc. i went for the ultimate edition.

i doubt i'll sell the game but i might in say a years time and rockstar games hold their value stupidly well. this will still be worth £35 until the ps5 launches.

that xbox one x deal is stupidly good. however it's still not enough to make me want an xbox one x. literally pointless buying a console for one game. plus all my mates on ps4.

great deal for someone with an older xbox though.

sell the 2 games and it's around £320 so same price as ps4 pro deal

I wonder if this will have an iconic moment where a game becomes art, that Rockstar seem to put in some games?

Like the first red dead, with the ride into Mexico with the western guitar song in the background, and a particular fave, Michael’s acid trip in GTA5

When I get round to playing this at the end of November, not looking forward to see the 30fps will be like playing in treacle hope I am proved wrong.
