Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

Possibly an odd question here.

Any of you lot use an XBox One X with a 34" superwide monitor ? I have the Acer Predator 34X and im thinking of getting an X to play RDR 2. I realise i'll end up with black bars either side of the monitor (im ok with that).

My question really is though : Does the image quality look good though with it connected via HDMI ?

You bust through doors if you are running at the time. Same as would happen in real life. Walk up to them in future.

I had the same random encounter. You simply shoot the lock of course!

I've seen a couple inside houses, seems to be issues when zooming in with the binoculars as well.

Legendary hide? It shouldn't be lost, if it disappears off the back of your horse for whatever reason it goes:

To the trappers inventory so you can use it to craft bear related gear

I had a similar thing happen, I had it on the back of the horse then got shot by the filthy law.

Now I've got to the part with the wolves...and I'm completely stuck. The shotgun won't fire...so I just get eaten by the wolves over and over again.

Well, after much messing around and trying things.

It seems the shotgun has extremely tight dead zone tolerances compared to the normal guns ( I could shoot pistols fine, but shotgun wouldn't fire).

Dismantled DS4, cleaned everything with contact spray, reassembled....shotguns now fire and I can get past the wolves.

Not a fan of these drawn out intros though, just get me to the open world please!

Hani’s Bethel, just above Emerald Ranch and to the East of Heartland Overflow.
 
Ventured up into the mountains last night for a bit of hunting but to me it felt quite linear up there with much of it being inaccessible due to Arthur being unable to walk up even mostly shallow gradients.

Anyone else experienced this?

This game kills HZD in graphics department. Water is infinitely better, the lightning as well, much more natural. The way moonlight shafts between the trees is insane.

probably your best bet Sonos soundbars aren't that great.

in fact neither are their speakers. the whole selling point behind Sonos is that it's wireless. it's the best at doing that easily. personally don't see the point in a wireless soundbar as it doesn't need to connect to anything and most high end soundbars from other manufacturers already have wireless subs and rear speakers.

for the money you spent on it you could have gotten a much better sound bar from Samsung or Yamaha which would have done surround sound either by physical speakers or speakers that are directed to bounce off walls.

First you need to make sure your Xbox/PS4 is outputting Dolby Digital to the beam. Check in the about my Sonos System in the app. If it is you can use surround in the RDR2 settings. I’m using it on mine with just the beam alone.
 
I love the way you can Shotgun someone in the face and they shake it off and shoot back like nothing has happened. The realism is a bit lost when harder too defeat characters can just take more shots......
 
Loving this game so far, so much so i sold my Forza Limited Edition Xbox One and got a One X to play at 4k on my TV, Loving the difference and this is coming from a PC Gamer.

Quick question, is it possible to upgrade my physical copy to ultimate edition? can . you buy a code to redeem to unlock the extras?

Stole a stagecoach yesterday and took it to the Fence. Was in the middle of the night so I set up camp and slept til morning. When I woke up the stagecoach was gone :mad:

Was there a particular video guide you used for this? Was it relatively simple to clean? I've got a controller with a faulty left stick...

I'd disagree with this.....at the moment!

It is a very impressive looking game but I remember being absolutely blown away by HZD - although I'm only a short period into the game atm and having a predominantly white covered screen perhaps isn't representative of the graphics! :D

Looking forward to getting into the main body of the game to see the best!
 
I can't say graphically (p4pro) it has blown me away the way that hzd, gow, uc4 ac odyssey have in 4k hdr on my oled. It is definitely a great looking game.

Also hdr implementation is noticeably better than sdr on my 4k oled.

If you have your tv in standard mode or some other crap preset for sdr content then that may be why. It's definitely one of the more subtle hdr implementations but it is better than sdr. If anyone wants settings for 7 series lg oled then give me a shout. I do have my input as pc to avoid the horrid lg game mode hdr cripple
