Red Dead Redemption 2

I'm still savouring this game, I have no intention of just ploughing through the story. There's so much to see and do!

I've been taking my time with the story too, doing the side quests and have only just made it to Chapter 3! The Wildlife photographer ones can be quite funny!

Only found one set of dinosaur bones though, sadly, 29 more to find!!! Eeeek!
 
Had to redo all my graphics settings after the patch yesterday, game had a hard crash the first time booting up but after that it ran fine for 3 hours, we wanted to do the dishonourable missions so had to tank our reputation, found a good spot in Blackwater where you can keep picking Police off as they come after you. 30 min later was able to start the first mission going against the Pinkertons on a train with machine guns. Was great fun still really enjoying playing. Spent 30 minutes hunting in the mountains but I need to buy a 'bigger' coat as my health was dropping quickly with my 'summer' jacket on.

Use the winter clothes you had at the start of the game in the snow, just goto a wardrobe and equip it to your horse. You always have winter gear from the start of the game.

I have my custom outfit plus winter gear on the horse.

This was in online mode, didn't get a heavy coat at the start as it randomly decides which clothing to give you, I'll keep the heavy stuff from Story when I get back around to playing Story mode.

Ah ok sorry, I tried online last night but I keep getting disconnected for some reason.

Probably cost you a fair bit to kit out online.
 
Just got onto chapter 3 myself last night.

Started using dead eye mode a lot more as I forgot about it during fire fights. Not much left of people's faces when hit with 4 rounds to the head.
 
Had all sorts of problems after the update, tried adding the launch argument (-cpuLoadRebalancing) resulted in hard lockups very quickly - a bear caught a salmon = crash; look at a waterfall = crash. As I still have an I5-2500K, thought I might at least try anything (including other cpu "solutions"). Then wondered if there was another GPU driver update (as I had updated on installation to 19.11.1) - low and behold AMD had released v19.11.2, which lead to a much better experience :)
Just gutted I lost 5 perfect wolf pelts!

Online strangely has been much more stable, but appreciate we are effectively beta testers (with a myriad of hardware configurations) in time for the Christmas market, hence I went for the pre-order bonuses, fully expecting teething issues.
 
For ease I’ve just set everything to ultra (bar shadows and lighting) and dropped the 4K resolution to 1700p and now my heavily oc Zotac amp extreme 2080 just about copes.
