It was a good game but didn't deserve the scores it got, bit like gta 4 really, i got bored and just finished the storyline managed around 72% all completed.

I am on the 3rd part of the map (currently in the town of Blackwater). I only have 1800 dollars so far. What am I doing wrong? I have not really bought any items, if I had I would have very little cash.

Played a fair bit of poker in the 1st town but you won really small amounts of cash, even for beating all players.

Skinning animals and treasure hunts. That will rack up a few quid.

I have loads of skinned animals and plants in my inventory. They don't seem that high in value. Shall I just sell them all and convert them to cash?

Yeah why not. You get more for your goods if you take them to a trader nowhere near where the animal is usually found. I dont think its that much more but up to you.

Just sold everything I had at the Blackwater store and got $2300, much more than I thought I would get!!

red dead had made me start gta4 again. there is so much more going on in gta compared to rdr

Capturing a Bounty alive is always worth some nice coin, make sure you pick them up as soon as they become available.

Just completed it, well at least I thought I had

Will finish it off tomorrow night, have to say though best game of the year so far and I thought nothing would take that away from Heavy Rain

i am using the heary repeater rifel and the semi automatic german pistol, it murders people haha

. I went back to usa to kill boars and find the walter gang bit of the outfit in solomons folly, that was eaaasy

I was getting $200 playing Poker in Mexico, not tried Blackwater yet. I'm guessing it gives the most.

There's a challenge where you have to take a bollard gang member alive for one of the outfits, can you still do this once you've finished the game?

Yes, you can. Might have to wait a while for the Wanted mission to refresh though.

On the map there is two long lines not explained by the Legend.

One looks like ++++++++++++++++++++++ Which is obviously a train track. The other looks like _._._._._._._._._ what is that one?

I'm thinking of getting this (might pop into town in a minute)

Am i right in thinking that its very much like GTA but....in the west?
I have watched the review of it on IGN.

It kinda is yea. It has pretty much the exact same mission structure as GTA, as in talk to someone, go to a place, kill people, go back, repeat.

It is a different experience though. The environment feels different and acts different as you would expect. Depends whether or not you like it though, I and many others got bored of it quite quickly since there isn't an awful lot going on, unlike in GTAIV.

I'd definitely recommend playing and completing it. I just didn't find it as good as GTAIV, which I hoped it would be.
