Red Dead Redemption Thread

Must admit I'm also finding it a bit of a chore at the moment, I'm roughly 3/4 of the way through and I just cant be bothered. The missions arent varied or challenging enough and so far its just long rides from one shooting gallery to the next and its just not enough to keep me interested :(.

30% complete and finding it hard to play. I never got into GTA so possibly why! I just find riding everywhere gets boring quickly! Might power through it just to complete it and ignore the side missions for now.

Yes, but you have to travel out of the town/hideout (I know you semi do in Fallout as well, but you only have to exit buildings and be away from enemies) find a suitable area, watch the camp scene and then choose the option to travel. Whereas Fallout is just click on the map and travel :) I know it's being a bit fussy but it just gets old after a few hours of playing.

You realize that in a town you can just take the Horse & Cart driver to take you to other towns or a waypoint of your choice. It doesn't cost much and eventually becomes free.

Anyone up for making an 8 man posse and maybe doing the 10 minute survival as most wanted? Been trying to get these 2 trophies done for what feels like an age now.

That 10 minute survival is so annoying. Even doing it at 4am (nights) I always seem to find some idiot who snipes you just as you are about to complete it.

I almost bought this game today but I ended up putting it back on the shelf instead. I came home later and watched a few trailers for it and it made me think I shoulda bought it now.

Are the missions (if they're called that in this game) repetative (sp?) as it does look like a game that could last quite a while but I couldn't handle doing the same ol' thing time and time again:confused:

What would have made this game was if there was MORE THINGS TO DO. Having finished the game a few weeks ago, I can safely say the storyline was superb - and that's all.

There is nothing else that really grabs you and keeps your attention aside from the main plot. So much could have been made of various towns, and yet they're pretty much stale. I haven't touched the game since finishing it tbh.

I just cannot see how this received such high marks as I felt Call fo Juarez 1 was a far better 'western experience' with more weapons.

Yes they could have given us so much more or they could make more money out of us with the dreaded... DLC!!!!

:p

The Legends and Killers DLC pack is out, was considering it until i noticed how many more packs were coming out and then to finish it off the GF "slipped" and paid for some rubbish music video and spent my existing points.

Bit of a bump but i did this trophy 1st time, and i did it like this. (Was during the day when it was quite busy as well)

Head to blackwater and kill a couple of people to get a wanted level.

Run into the police station and get into cover behind the counter.

Shoot people who come through the door (may take a while as they like to fart about outside before someone comes in)

Once you get the $1000 bounty start a timer or something, once 10 mins is up head for the door, theres usually 2 people outside the front of the building (and a few round the back) take them out and whistle for your horse.

Run like hell!

:)

Btw has anyone got the trophy (ps3) for shooting someone who killed a Rockstar employee? Ive killed lots of people but no joy :(

This can be done in a private game so you don't have anyone annoying you.

This is how I got it

I luckily got this the 1st time I played. I'm surprised you haven't got it as it should be very common now.
