Red Dead Redemption Thread

I got this 2nd hand the other day and am loving it. I am surprised that you cant have duel weld. Could be in an expansion pack maybe.

Things I'm disapoointed with:

Can't sell horses
Can't take in criminals alive to the prison other than bounties
No duel pistols

Other than that I am loving it. ;)

I got this earlier today and think it's rather good. Although when I raced that woman near the start I kept bashing the A button to make the horse run faster and got bucked off. Then I get a helpful message after that happened telling me not to hit the A button too much or i'll get bucked.Yeah, thanks for that:rolleyes:

just tried MP for first time and there was nobody about ? Is the scene now dead?

Some games you join there arent many on but its not dead. Try and join again. There are always a good handful when I go on and last night there were loads.

Like someone said earlier, I am not impressed that they are releasing these individually. I think I will wait until they are released as a pack and a lot cheaper. Some of the packs dont look worth the extra money.

Finding it very hard to enjoy the mulitplayer at the moment, I've only just started but i've been put off free roam already, too many people with much better weapons than me just auto aiming from miles away and taking me down with ease, then continuing to spawn kill me.

I tried the hardcore free roam which was going better until a group of about 6 americans, all level 50ish, joined and formed a gang, then started to just kill me and the other few people in the server. They were ok at first, killed me a few times then moved on, but returned when I was trying to do a gang hideout and just started spawn killing me for about 15 mins with sniper rifles and sending me messages about how much better than me they were .

i'm not one to rage quit or anything so I stuck at it and eventually managed to escape, but just had them follow me across the map trying to kill me for a while, some friends of mine joined the session and evened the odds, as soon as we had them on the back foot they moaned and complained, started sending us abuse and then left the server.

This game just seems more full of people like that than others.

Loved the game to start with, now im finding it abit of a chore now ive just reached Mexico.... Hmm.

Ill stick at it

That's exactly how I felt and to be honest the rest of the game felt like that to me. There were one or two stand out moments further in, but it did feel very chore like and I can't figure why. I think it's mainly because of the time it takes to ride anywhere, and the fast travelling by setting up a camp is a bit bothersome as well.

Yes, but you have to travel out of the town/hideout (I know you semi do in Fallout as well, but you only have to exit buildings and be away from enemies) find a suitable area, watch the camp scene and then choose the option to travel. Whereas Fallout is just click on the map and travel :) I know it's being a bit fussy but it just gets old after a few hours of playing.
