No need for a shovel, you know the right spot when you see it as it is a small heap of rocks and when you go near if you a prompt to press Y or triangle.

Yeah mine unlocked as soon as I returned to my safe house.
How do I hunt dear?
Is it the same controls for lassoing people? Hold LT to target RT to lasso it then let go of RT and keep holding LT? Or is it like breaking horses?
Or do I just go the simple method and shoot them?
Hold LT to aim.
Pull RT to throw (don't need to hold)
Keep holding LT to keep the target lasso'd
Pull RT to reel the target in, each pull of RT makes Marston pull once I think (quite fun when lassoing someone then yanking them down some steps
)

I can't believe how unlucky I've been with the bounty challenges on MP. I'm on the one where you need to get a $5000 bounty. First attempt I got to $3000 or so before my team mate accidentally shot me in the head due to the auto aim, second time around I got $4720 and then got disconnected from the free roam.

Sure thing. Think I'll hit the single player up this afternoon, followed by MP this evening. I wish I had a really long extension cable so I could just sit in the garden on it.
I think I may have got my copy for free...
The money in my bank had been taken (but not appeared on online statement but available balance had changed to the amount of red dead) anyway checked my bank today and the money is back in my account, like it was held in limbo but the receiving party didn't take it and it's now been returned. Strange.

Are there any good ways to make money in this? I seem to have basically nothing. Poker is alright but I seem to have terrible luck. The dice one is easy but takes ages to make money. Horseshoes is just plain rubbish imo.
Five finger knife thing is good if you master that.

why would you need to lasso a deer? , dont you just shoot them.

I managed to get the Horseshoe achievement on my 3rd game last night. Woohoo

I wasn't sure of this, so it's what I tried first. I wanted to lasso it, then slaughter it with my knife, then skin it.
Seems like I will just shoot it in the head.

ive read if you lasso animals you just get dragged around, it would be funny if you could lasso a bear though and release it in a town
