Yeah, this just seems weird without don't you think? The style its been filmed is different and it seems kind of empty somehow.
It ended too soon mind, was pretty average, and predictably sub-par for red dwarf.
all the dvds have laughter on them..

I thought this was going to carry on from where season 8 finished, though obviously it didn't since all of the crew are gone again, and the hologram rimmer is back.
Where did this female hologram suddenly come from by the way, she was the best bit of the show.

Yeah that was awful.
I remember watching an extended 'unedited' episode of 'Tikka to Ride' that I got from somewhere and that didn't have a laughter track and without it the material just wasn't funny at all.
I've since paid lots of attention to shows with/without laughter. Peep Show and Inbetweeners etc don't have it, yet they are still hilarious.
But yeah, that episode, utter PANTS. The only bit I even sniggered at was when Kryten held up the device and said 'this confirms it' and it said 'Bit Crap'

I know one of them didn't!! I swear it! lol
their are a few episodes but they're the extended versions.
We're all assuming there was no laughter track.
Maybe there was, and the audience didn't find any of it funny....
