Did they really beta test this game?

It should never have been released it it's current state and the support so far for it has been terrible!. I knew something was up when they kept on delaying it every 3hours and then releasing lots of 0day fixes 1gb.. 2gb e.t.c

That was partly because the wrong release candidate was uploaded to the Steam servers and they tried to patch it out but couldn't, hence why big preload, after the preload :)

Do you have to stay till the end of an entire map to gain your honour? I just played about an hour of countdown, closed before the end of the map, then checked my stats only to see nothing had changed...

Yes you have to play till the end..

Oh dear, I don't mind the mode but spending so long with sides switching over and over and over again gets incredibly boring and annoying.

Guys how long is the SP in this game...and overall how good would you rate the MP?

The multi-player is very fun and I am not the sort of person who likes playing a game where you die in one shot. However the game has obviously been designed around this realism level and it feels very deliberate and slow / medium paced.

I would never play hardcore in Battlefield or Call of Duty because the games are very very fast, therefore tactics and team play usually go out of the window (from my experience on public servers), and the game can be dominated by a single person. Not to say you can't do well on a bad team in Red Orchestra 2, but you certainly can't win a match on your own.

Kills and captures are satisfying and the game promotes a cautious, stealthy approach to succeed. Also fast reactions and good awareness reign supreme, as in most FPS titles.

It's incredibly immersive as well, makes me feel like I am in Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan or something similar but with Russians. :p

Performance looks very poorly optimized for the IQ on show, could just need some optimized drivers from AMD/Nvidia as well as the some better efforts from the devs.
