I think its if you TK more than 3 in a row in quick succession, you sure it wasn't your own team you laid into with the MG? :p

Jumped on the mounted gun, fired on someone and... :mad:, Butt Hurt admins are so damn annoying :(

Possible the admin did not know?

I go into the Session ban list and remove people regularly who I did not even know had been banned. Mostly speedhacks and accidental TK's.

Regarding ping in Unreal - the way that Unreal calculates the in-game ping is different than some other game engines. Some other game engines split out their network updating from their gameplay code and even if their gameplay code is running slowly due to CPU load, the game will tell you your ping is the same. Unreal actually gives you a ping that represents how long it is taking the server to process the gameplay code. I think this is really a truer representation of what is happening on a server. But you will see your apparent ping go up as a servers CPU gets under load. This is usually fine as long as the servers CPU isn't overloaded. On my test servers with 64 players my ping will go up about 40ms and will be in the 75-85ms range (the server is located within 50 miles of our office).
 
Wish I hadn't bought it :( Knew I'd have performance problems. Running it on low makes no difference, because as usual my AMD x4 965 sucks balls. Should have got an i5 2500k.

It's not your cpu it's the game!, there are people with high end systems having problems. Though it's sporadic some are running it perfectly but the latest patch has made things even worse, with every patch it gets worse.

For all those that say i'm talking BS i've experienced this first hand and I can quote many others
 
Its hideous that the PC cant get a game with just 64 players involved working, yet on the PS3 MAG run fine with 128.

OK graphically MAG isnt fantastic, but it looks good enough tbh and RO2 aint the prettiest thing on the planet, the maps are pretty stale as well.

Hit detection is my biggest gripe atm, literally point blank I iron sighted someones nut and it missed... so I popped out (using KAR btw) of sights, hip killed him, someone run around the corner and hip killed him as well just randomly.

At distance it seems better, but close up with the rifle you are best bashing them or jus shooting your clip randomly at them :D
 
I've killed more people manually hiding behind a wall then taking pot shots rather than using the stupid ctrl cover system!

The problem is that owing to the server being "unranked" people will not touch it with someone elses big stick, therefore you have a perfectly fine working server sat there unused because nobody wants to play on it.

Frustrating even more as it was populating rather nicely since the upgrade to the 64 slots.

If somebody cares to check now, it does show in the ingame server browser as being "ranked", hoewever, the server admin controls report it is "unranked".

I feel sorry for TW in some ways as this is all down to teething problems with their server whitelist process. They did not want to force people to use "Official" GSP's to get "ranked" status as in BF: BC2 or in the case of COD: Black OPS... Just a single server provider (Most dumb ******* move ever). What they decided to do was to allow ANYONE reputable enough (GSP's. large clans etc) basically anyone who is not going to run hacked servers just to abuse the ranking system via registration, this also meant they could track the ranked servers easier and it gave clans more freedoms, especially those who allready have their own dedis.

So, for this, I applaud them for taking that step, it is just unfortunate that it is a mammoth task and teething problems are to be expected I suppose.

It will soon be sorted I have no doubt, TW are a honest Indie dev and they will not leave us with a broken game. As Knightstalker said below, the reason it is ongoing is that as they try to fix the problem, more unforeseen problems occur.

I will write a well contructed message to them though explaining my feelings as it is becoming rather silly as although I forgive them in part as they are a indie dev with limited resources, I have a paid for server sat there empty due to no fault of my own.

Hope that rambling made sense.

Perfect sense, TW upto now have been pretty good at attempting to fix the issue, just in doing so brings up more issues, i reckon by the end of the day it will be up and working fully again and at the very least tomorrow.
 
In two minds about getting this,liking the idea of a more slower paced fps. Are the bad points (bugs) outweighing the good points (gameplay)currently?

My issues are mostly server related, not client side.

When playing on a busy server with people working together, it is an amazing game.

If you want a slower paced shooter where "camping" is accepted and tactics = WIN, definitely give it a shot.

Sure, there are issues but I do not have any major gripes at the moment other than hit reg not seeming right sometimes (Again, server side).

As I have said before though, they are a decent dev and will not leave the game for greener pastures like most other devs. They will polish it to perfection, without doubt, it is a gem, just covered in a little bit of poo at the moment.
