Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

Major patch scheduled for this week, apparently fixing;

1) Graphical Improvements in some lighting conditions
2) Improved performance in nearly every map
5) Several minor performance enhancements in code

Woohoo, finally! Might actually be able to play this now, was sick of game lagging and getting less than 30 fps when game wasn't using more than 30% of my graphic's card.

ocuk server is dead :(

have u allgiven up with it?

Nope, i think most, myself included are waiting for the patches to fix a few of the niggles, while its enjoyable in its current state, theres always that part in the back of your mind wishing it was sorted - For example, all the kills etc not getting logged is quite depressing, as it doesnt reflect how well your doing - performance issues for the majority of people also is a major factor in the dead server. Also i think most are playing the Beta, testing the patches.

Just relax, the update is coming soon. A last minute issue had popped up. And yes, the download size will be substantial.
:eek::eek:

Angry customer :p

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2154443

They got my money with the preorder. I stood by their side and defended them, believing they would address the issues and get the game in working order in time for release.

As Release Day neared, the game's quality and stability seemed to steadily decline for me--not only were there more abundant bugs and crashes, but the game's performance during the brief times during which I could actually play went from decent to deplorable. I went against my instincts and avoided a "refound," and continued to support TWI.

Release Day. The game was more unstable than ever, with a host of even more bugs than ever before. I didn't get my Day 1 unlocks. The server browser was still a mess. Sound bugs, visual glitches, constant crashes, not to mention the various fun new problems that caused my entire machine to lock up, which, by the way, is a problem I've never once had during my entire 2 years owning this PC.

STILL I waited patiently, trusting TWI to iron out the kinks and get things running smoothly. With the most recent patches, if I'm (un)lucky enough to even be able to connect to a server, there is a 100% chance that my machine will lock up, forcing a hard reset.

I've been as patient as I can be during this entire mess, and all the while TWI have been shrugging off all responsibility for the issues, claiming they've done everything correct and we're all wrong and we need to stop acting like children. Meanwhile, they continue putting out further patches, making the game EVEN WORSE... And in the meantime, the company's higher-ups are boasting their record sales and how rich they are, and what a success the game is for them.

I'm done.

Hey, TWI. Don't be surprised if your next game launch falls flat and you're left penniless and butthurt. Had you, at the very, very least, apologized for the messy release, worked more closely with your customers, trying to see it from their side, rather than tell them they're idiots and you're powerless to fix our own personal problems with the game, things would be different. But I guess you can't be bothered to take a break from rolling in the money to repay your formerly loyal fans, who helped to get you where you are.

I guess the next step is getting bought out by EA so their slick marketing gurus can hype up your next product so you can make your fortune on pre-orders from you next game.

To all the naysayers who said it from the early beta, to all the refounders who called their bluff and got out early and tried to warn us, to all the people I crapped on in my fanboii defense of TWI: You were right. YOU WERE RIGHT!

This game is uninstalling, and this forum removed from my bookmarks. Say what you will, it will fall on deaf ears (or blind eyes, whatever.)

MMM...

To quote that Op, only one party is "Butthurt" there :)

It has only been a few weeks.

There are AAA releases which are more broken and people do not give a ****.

The AMD drivers totally fixed performance for me, like night and day. Still bugs but it's in a better state than many games were\are.

Put off a little in case stats are reset but I'll be playing plenty once the next patch drops.

I really hope they fix performance for the guys having issue with this patch and it gets more people playing again!

Apperently they've redone every map and removed many many calls?, so they've removed a lot of unneeded stuff to get the performance back. Though this is all forum chat chat the moment

What is considered "unneeded" stuff?

I had no performance issues on a moderate rig. Surely anything that bad would show on ALL configs?

Spot the "fixed" map which will run on Neils computer ;)
