Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

What file does that go in to?

You need to download SweetFX from here.

Extract all the files and folder into \Steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\Binaries\Win32

then edit the SweetFX_settings.txt with the settings I posted above. Scroll Lock will turn it on and off.

I reinstalled this after not playing it for about 6 months, and I seem to remember there were some additional config file settings for changing the FOV, apart form the in game one. I remember I had it set to have a relatively wide FOV for normal view, with a wider than normal FOV when aiming down the sight, and the normal FOV for the shift zoom affect. I suppose what I am saying is, which variable changes the aim down sight FOV, as I assume the in game setting is for the non ADS/ShiftZoomed view? Before I go looking, does anyone recognise what I'm on about and could point me at the relevant lines in the relevant config files?

Not sure exactly but I imagine it would be something in the ROengine.ini.

Haven't given this a go in ages, was still riddled with bugs the last time I played.

Any improvement from updates?

I haven't played since this!

Found my screenshot bossing as a commander :D

Quite enjoying this, I hope the numbers stay full at peak time on the server. As it has generally been decent team play for public mode. Clearly not everyone knows wtf they are doing at times (including me) :) Need to learn some of the newer maps.

Well that was an epic weekend of RO2 :) On Sunday I played from pretty much 10:30am until 11pm with a small break for dinner.

Amazing to see how far this game has come since release. genuinely looking forward to the expansion now and it's great to see the server we are running full most of the day with the same players returning to our server to play.

Was saying last night how smooth and slick the animations are compared to Arma. So many little touches that add to the game.

I re-installed this a week or so ago and was pleasantly surprised. SP campaign still runs like crap for some reason but the same maps in mp are smooth as silk

This is probably the most brutal shooter I have played and I'm pretty poor if I'm lumbered with a bolt rifle but I cant help but enjoy it lol New maps like Stalingrad Kessel look fantastic, very atmospheric and just reek of danger, make me very tense when pushing on objectives or defending.

Are all new maps part of steam updates or do some need to be downloaded as you join? Whats the workshop thing all about too?

The maps on our server are all stock so no need to download anything if you are playing on there.

The workshop is mainly there to stay updated on custom maps.
