Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

Anyone else think it's very hard to see people in windows and doorways sometimes?

Yea it's really dark, just gotta take your time and wait for movement, or randomly fire.

Any programmers able to extract the soundtrack? It's in a cooked upk file and I believe the music files themselves are ogg.

thanks Fibbles :)

will give it a try then - I guess GG are legit ?;just never heard of them before now

They are very much legit and also have, I'd say, one of the best customer supports around. They are currently negotiating with various publishers to expand their catalogue etc. Small but growing digital delivery site. My only problem is the usual - I have to buy games using their € prices which are often close to double compared to £ and $ prices.

Unless they are wearing flowery and stripey camo I can't see that helping much! ;)

It just seems very dark but also very washed out the same time. It's bit weird and doesn't look quite right in many cases.

Turn shadows to medium, crank everything else up. Although I think you are quite limited by the processor.

I run 1055t @3.6, 4GB ram and gtx470 @800. Put ultra settings on, unticked smooth framrate or skipping things and turned shadows to medium, I hear shadows really mess things up. running just under 60fps.

Also FXAA set to low.

Overclocking his processor could help but the problem isn't his system but the game, I've been running it on a Q6600 @ 3.2, 4GB 1066 RAM and an ATI 5870 with modded bios to allow 1000mhz on the core and I've had to lower a lot of settings to get it to run smooth.
Been monitoring Task Manager CPU performance and GPU activity with MSI Afterburner and the game doesn't stress my system, thought there was something wrong with my rig but found a thread on Steam's Forum detailing the exact same problem. Hopefully this will be fixed in a patch.
That being said the game is awesome, cant wait for release :)

Found a place selling steam codes for £18, can't decide whether to get this or not. I use to play TF2 a lot and still play Bad Company 2. Would this tie me over til BF3? I like WW2 games usually but never got the original!

From what Ive seen of the beta's of both games I'd rather play RO2. Slower pace, punishing at times but also very rewarding. Ive been waiting years for a shooter to really get into and this is the best Ive played in quite some time.

arghh, I didn't really care for this, but it looks bloody awesome! I will wait till release though, as I have deus ex to complete and then dead island.
