Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

I like the fact PB Bans is the streaming AC mode of choice concerning EB, simple reason is that they will allow user submitted ban by demo and user submitted PB screenshots. VAC allow neither and tbh, VAC is shrouded under so much secrecy, nobody really knows if it's up to much. But can't hurt to have it all.

They may allow it but do **** all about it!

Can't believe how many screenshots, links and video proof i've sent and the same damn players are playing!

I personally have no problem with Punkbuster. The only game I had an issue with is Battlefield 2 on Steam. And to solve that, I had to turn off In-Game Overlay for BF2. I'll be pre-ordering RO2 as soon as it's available online at my favourite high street retailer...

you need to be a streaming admin or its waste of time.

hopefully with the addition of vac and pb it could help the hacking madness that plagues games like cod and bf. wish they could add more cheat scanning progs to be honest make it as hard as possible .

Cheers for that :)

Hope they put out some proper MP footage from the friends and family closed beta soon. Bots or a just a few journalists running about isn't RO at its best.

Still, can't wait till the end of August.

From the limited footage around so far, when the dev's display it and do talk throughs anyone noticed the enemy bots act very strangly, ie when really close not shooting at them etc basically little awareness of enemys around them. Don't have a video to hand but there's plenty on youtube showing the enemy ai.

I'm not too fussed about the bots because I just want the full mp action.

Could tell it was a Quinns piece from the first two paragraphs heh, he really gets into the feels of games.

Wasn't the most 'professional' preview, they've edited it now but it first paragraph initially read as.

The key to enjoying Red Orchestra 2 is going to be the hardcore aspects and the overall experience. Whilst it's not the ugliest game you've ever seen graphically - in fact it's pretty decent by AAA standards - upcoming titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 are just going to **** all over it anyway.

Most of the the piece is fairly true though and its nice to see it approached from someone who obviously isn't a fan/familiar with the original but their writing style leaves a bit to be desired.

Yeah i just read the strat informer one, all good till his last bit------- "The only shame here is that Tripwire has no plans to bring this game to the console audience currently- personally I think this hardcore approach is sorely missing from the console-FPS market at the moment. "
