They said over the shoulder. But they may have first person mode also, don't see why they could not. Probably will for VR.I hope you can also play it like RE7 first person view. They seems to be mixed view angles from this trailer.

HahaSoaked.....that trailer....oh my goodness...I LOOOVED RE2.....this looks unreal.
Nice, will watch that soon and add to the OP
I played it on my brothers Dreamcast at the time. It was so great. It is certainly in my top 3-4 favourites. Not sure if 3rd or 4th now. Time to make a new listI'd love to see a remake of CV, but it seems to be hated by a lot of Resi fans for some reason, so not sure they would consider remaking it. It's one of my favorite games that i bought a Dreamcast just to play when it was exclusive to that platform. I'm guessing a lot of the hate comes from the PS2 version that they made a lot of changes that made it look a bit too cheesy.
That is exactly the order I would put them in TNA.
Could easy shuffle up the top 3 aswell tho,
And maybe the revelations above resi 5.
Resi 4,5 and 6 are not really resi games, 7 was more like resi of old in bits.
Yeah. I loved pre-rendered backgrounds with fixed camera angles too. Don’t think we will ever see it again sadly. It's the pre-rendered background and fixed camera for each room that I am referring to mainly. I can understand updating and improving the controls but I was a big fan of the suspense the fixed cameras made. You enter a room and you can hear a licker but you can't see it..
I rate revelations 2 quite highly in the series my list would be
1- Resident Evil 2
2- Resident Evil
3- Resident Evil 3
4- Resident Evil: Code Veronica
5- Resident Evil 7
6- Resident Evil 0
7- Resident Evil: Revelations 2
8- Resident Evil 4
9- Resident Evil 5
10- Resident Evil: Revelations
11- Resident Evil 6
Don’t know how I missed that. Nice, good to see them. But I doubt there will be ink ribbons, unless they have a separate mode for it which would be awesome. Would not be too hard for them to do, would make a lot of people happy if they had a separate mode for the game called classic mode that was more like the original.Yep, looks that way.
Definitely. Younger audiences would probably not like it. But to me it is a big part of what makes Resident Evil, Resident Evil.We are probably in the minority that would prefer it again though.
I play RE2 and CV on PCI'm tempted to get a ps1 to give RE2 another playthrough. I'm not sure it'll look very good on my 40" 1080p tv though..
re2make I think looks very tense and suspenseful, especially with how the developers kept on saying that even one zombie can annihilate you 1 vs 1, and a horde is death.
Lighting and flashlight mechanic plus the zombies being able to follow you and break out of scenery... gameplay they showed makes me think I'll need to stock up on a few fresh briefs to swap into
Some more interesting details:
Claire and Leon have separate campaigns this time around, instead of the simpler A and B scenarios of the original.
At one point the camera zooms in on the gruesome missing jaw of a dead police officer, and man, that is some gore. If you like gross levels of detail, you're in luck with this engine.
Some other cool touches: you'll be able to pull a knife out of a zombie's body after you killed them, if it's durable enough.
You'll find some supplies like boards you can use to block off windows.
You can shoot zombies in the legs to bring them down.
Some areas in downtown Raccoon City from the original game that you could only look at—guessing that means some buildings that were previously just facades—will now be explorable, and some characters will have more fleshed-out stories than they did before.
I never felt lost in RE2, but I hope this game is so much bigger that I doI spent way too many hours lost in that ruddy police station, I bet I will spend many more looking at this
Play 1, then 0, then 4. Don't bother with 6Same here, I also haven't got around to playing Six or the remakes of Zero, One & Four yet.
I've installed them all now though so it might be a good time to get on with them,
You are asking the wrong question. The question should be, what's good about itFunnily enough I was thinking of going with 6 first, What's so bad about it?
The others were already made for GameCube ages ago, they did very little work with a handful of people relative to this which was built from the ground up and took 3-4 years with a much bigger team.£45!, the other remasters were only £16
Yea I loved that too. I always left the inventory expansion for Claire as I thought that was the much better item.I always loved the way that you could leave certain items in place for the other character in their scenario, think there was an inventory expansion and a machine gun. I remember taking both in the A scenario and really making things difficult in the B scenario on the first playthrough, I hope something like that returns.
We have known that for a while now, but thanks for reminding us of the painful long wait there is aheadResident Evil 2...
