Whoops... What a pleasant typo
Yeah. I was going to hold out too, but it is only 30 minutes and a one time only demo. I will be taking it slow, exploring and seeing what has changed etc.Hmm will I play it or not......might ruin a bit of the game.
Who am I kidding of course I will.
Weird. That sounds a lot more like RE3 than 2... But I am happy for new stuff, as long as they keep the old stuff in it too.herd some info about the game that sounds exciting
Mr x constantly stalks you like the alien in isolation, he is drawn to gun fire and the like and you have to constantly listen out for his footsteps.
No, im playing Dead Space 2 at the minute, and then im going to do Resi 7 after i finish it, before moving onto this
Apparently the original demo back in the day was like that? Would not have minded if it was 30 minutes and up to a certain point in the game, but you can play it over and over again until a certain date.Demo is 30mins only and thats it lol strange demo?
Might not be that easy as no doubt they will leave something in buried windows registry. But as you say long winded. Happy with 1 shotJust make another Steam account. Bit long winded though.
Try the demo, 30 minutes should be enough to make up your mind. If not buy on steam and get a 2 hour demo on releaseReviews early, on release or late we thinking? Not sure I want to pre order as much as I want to try it given I didn't play the original.
30 minute demo, do you think you will be able to finish it before the game comes out? Can imagine you completing it in 3 gaming sessions.Come on! lets ave it!!!
Wonder if it'll be 6pm.
they had four scenario's you unlocked b for claire after completing a scenario as leon and vice versa.
I didnt know either until i woke up one morning and my little brother was playing and was running away from mr x after he smashed through a wall
same wiith hunk and tofu nice additional extras and something i loved capcom for
10am PST Valve time. So that makes 6pm for us.The demo is now up in the PlayStation store (8gb). Must be going up on steam soon I would have thought.
Purchased 4-5 games from Voidu now, used their customer service twice and it was a quick response. No problems, I can recommend.I'm not sure, but the dodgy ones are usually setup like a market place. If you can choose more than one seller to buy the key from and the store offers an extra 'insurance' charge to guarantee the code will work, then it's more than likely dodgy. I avoid Kinguin and G2A and pretty much just stick with CD keys. With 412 games in my Steam library, many have come from CD Keys and I have never had an issue, or a revoked key.
I also hadn't heard of Voidu, but from what I was told when I asked, they are a genuine key seller, like GMG etc.
Downing demo now!
21:9 Ultrawide supported!
I haven't been "excited" about a game being released in a long (long) time. This is giving me the willies though, can't wait.
This is before I've tried the demo btw.
Just played the demo. I'm not entire sure why it's timed to be honest, I completed it in 20 minutes, it's not a play until you run out of time demo. For me it just isn't Resident Evil, and it hasn't been since RE4 came along.
.Getting objectives like "Collect 3 medallions" just feels like it goes against the what RE used to be in my opinion
This demo has just confirmed how I already knew I'd feel. I know I'm in the minority though and I'm happy for the people that i'm sure will love this game.
Just tried the demo and like an idiot ran out of bullets really fast and once my knife got stuck in a chest, it was game over!
Really like the pacing and the atmosphere but I've never been a massive fan of being made to jump so not sure I'm gonna get on with the full game! (I've got it as part of the AMD rewards program!)
Just played it, shame you have to play it online, and you can't quit and carry on, has to be played in the one half hr sitting, enjoyed it though, only manged to get the first medallion , had a bit of stutter, but overall, ran great.
Weird how it said i only had just under 4gb gfx memory, and when i was trying to max it all, some were saying be buggy due to memory, and going red and over the 3.93gb
Great its got UW support though
Gona have to get it ordered.
EDIT: the gfx memory, wonder if its because i forgot to turn 4x supersampling off, in the radeon settings.
Thanks man. It is all about expectations I guess, I have seen some videos and already know what to expect somewhat. I gave up on expecting it to be what Resident Evil Remake was to the original Resident Evil. Would have preferred that, but we are probably in the minority.I don't know exactly how the game progression will pan out and differ from the original, but they've definitely gone for a more cliche 'every other room is dark and needs a flashlight to make the player feel more on edge' route that many modern horror games seem to fall back on. I'm personally very biased against the OTS 3rd person shooter RE games though so take my opinion with a literal touch of salt . Give the demo a go regardless, hopefully you'll enjoy it .
I'm liking it. Ran 100+ FPS maxxed out at 1440p no problems at all.
I wimped out and turned the volume down.
I can't believe they added UW support.
Even though i forgot i had 4x Super on, it still ran great
How to reset the timer.

Yeah. Not bothered about what he says. Each to their own and all that.Mac half the time just crys about anything tbh
Surely there will be an option to turn of markers in options in the full game? Should not be a problem. You had puzzles like that in the first games, but in the first games you would have to think for yourself that you needed to collect 3 medallions. In this game it puts it as an objective. The hand holding is the only thing I don't like. Part of the fun in the first ones was working things out on your own and not being able to find things unless you looked for them etc (the slight sparkle was a nice touch). This remake gives you objectives, it puts a marker over everything of relevance in a room. Things like that do bug me about it.
However... I loved the demo. It didn't feel like old school Resi Evil but in a way I'm glad because I think it's mainly nostalgia that's holding it above all others. I loved them back in the day and did the speed play throughs etc. However, when I played the Resi Evil 1 remake recently I realised how dated it felt, even though I played through the remake on the Gamecube when it was released. If they had simply done an HD Remaster the mechanics would have felt dated and I don't think I would have enjoyed it. This however is just different enough for it to feel fresh and still hold onto some of that nostalgia.
Fingers crossed that they include an option that turns off objectives and and target markers hanging above items of interest. This would be perfect!!
From my list of Resi games, what I saw in the demo I think it will take number 5 slot pushing RE0 down the list. I personally still prefer pre-rendered backgrounds and set camera angles. It just works for Resident Evil imo.The game seems OK but it feels very similar to Resident Evil 4. Given it's 15 years after that game released I'd kind of expected to see things advance a bit further as a lot of the mechanics feel very dated.
I know people complained about RE7 but at least it was brave enough to do something different after the disappointments of RE5 and RE6. This just feels like a game from 2005 with slightly better visuals to me? I say that as someone who'd played every RE game a launch since the very first one.
Personally I'll give it a miss after playing the demo.
Can't wait!Only 6 days left :3
£30 from cdkeys mateJust played through the demo with surround sound speakers on loud and a little poop came out.
Great looking game and it plays well too, definitely took me back to the original.
£45 is a bit steep for me though so will wait until it comes down a bit.
Yeah. Pretty sure I will get at least 10 hours out of each as I intend to take my time and soak everything in as I play along the first time. Probably might be longer than 10 even.Yeah, I did a knife only run in under 2 hours on RE Remaster. Yet my first run, when it came to steam after a long break, I got something like 15 hours. Once you have played through a few times and know where to go, how to do the puzzles and get used to the inventory management, RE games can be completed pretty fast.
