Resident Evil 3 Remake

Yeah gfx are now at the point that you really do get immersed into the game and feel almost like you're actually exploring a creepy mansion (RE7). In early 2000 the only way to do that was to have pre rendered backgrounds, but now in game gfx look better and are even more detailed than the pre rendered backgrounds that wow'd me at the time.

I've since tweaked the brightness settings the game asks you to adjust in game when you first load as I skipped those thinking na. But it really makes a difference hah! Looks even better now with the slightly darker ambience.

Still can't kill Nemesis though?

For people wanting to play this game on an older specced PC, have no fear. I only upgraded my GFX recently but rest of the PC is old skool. DDR3, i7 6700K and a Z170X mobo...

Followed a guide on Youtube

Frankly guys, there is no way you are going to find these without it as some only spawn when you do very specific things!

Managed to get the 20 dolls using a tutorial vid - no way would i have found them without the guide:

If you are struggling or want more firepower, after emerging from the subway, let the zombie kill you a few times - you will get the option for 'assisted' mode. If you click yes, you get the automatic rifle and the game is a little easier.

This allowed me to fully explore the demo and get all the dolls.

Managed to throw together another RE3 benchmark/comparison video. Messing around with Ryzen 5 3600 + RX 5700 XT Red Devil running at 1080p/1440p/2160p / max settings.

Still buying it (well I already did, but not selling the key :p).

When you think about it RE2 was not much longer, yet I have nearly 70 hours on my steam counter.

My first playthrough will likely take 15 hours as I explore every nook and fanny and enjoy the new updated graphics :D

Funny thing is I already got over an hours play time just on the demo. I would rather 5 hours of this than suffer RE6 :p

RE3 was always short. In fact all of them are really. I guess it doesn't help Nemesis chases you throughout as you will have to rush. RE3 was always like an expansion pack if anything. Code Veronica had a lot more to it.
Really hope they are making a remake Code Veronica also. Such a great game.

One of my favourites as well. When you think about RE3 is just Jill running around, gets poisoned by Nemesis, Carlos goes and kills some hunters, brings back a vaccine, both run to a chopper and kill Nemesis with a rail gun. Hopefully they flesh it out a bit more like they did with RE2. I really like what they did with the boss encounters.

I clocked up 35hrs on the Resident Evil HD Remaster, and 19 on the RE2 one, according to Steam.

I'll wait until it hits a sale, if that Nemesis is gona start chasing you about early doors, yer be flying all over.

I assume he won't chase any more than the original and I really enjoyed the original. Also there are usually things that trigger him coming out, so I should be able to freely explore once I work out what they are.

I can see myself competing it many times so will get my money's worth for sure :D

I doubt it if MrX was anything to go by. Got a bit annoying in the end as you just didn't have the ammo to go toe to toe with him so it was a constant run away and come back later type affair.

Is there anything from the demo that goes towards the full game? I quite enjoyed the more recent RE games where you upgrade stuff to make it a bit op. I never actually playing the original RE Game, I started at veronica x and playing another one called outbreak of something (seem to remember you couldn't pause it).

I recently played RE2 and MrX again gets triggered at a certain point. After that you only come across him like 2 more times as I recall. Again it gets triggered. It seems like he is around a lot, but one later playthroughs it is much easier.

Maybe you played on a easier difficulty as that wasn't the case with myself. He showed up a lot!

Yeah same for me, he was chasing me for hours round the police station.

I think it depends what character you start with and if you know where you are going or not.
This. I played it so many times now that I know where to go. MrX seems like he is around 10% of the game to me.
