Also can we just apprecaite how Capcom do main menus and game startup? It's so quick to change a setting, and you can mouse tap out of the intro screens on first load as with the other Res Evil games too. This is how ALL games should behave. Having to manually mod out loading screens at the start or forced to sit through various logos and warnings etc is highly annoying with no way to skip them. Some games I'm sat there waiting to see the main menu, takes longer to get there than my PC does to cold boot to the desktop!

It's bought, installed and ready to go. I've only got two more weeks until I'm back in my house and have a desk again though, contemplating on waiting so I can mouse and keyboard it rather than the Xbox controller.

Doubt I'll manage though.

It's better with controller, only thing the mouse is better at is aiming but you get used to it with controller.

Hmm this is highly debatable as I'm finding (as always) the mouse and KB far superior, and Digital Foundry in their demo outlook also found the same lol

I have always preferred third person games with a controller tbh, the game was originally released on console first too so it was designed with controller in mind. I'm not saying K&M is bad, it's not at all. But it's just my preference to kick back couch style with controller on this game :) More comfortable for long gaming sessions.

Just reached the Castle, Chapter 7 :)

I love the merchant and merchant quests, they really did him justice.

Yep. I am playing with keyboard and mouse. I feel it works well for this game. But will play with my PS5 pad on my next playthrough.

My question to you is, what res are you playing the game on?

Ok HDR actually looks really good as my previous comment may not have been totally accurate after realising the time of day that area of the game was set in, later in the day in ch2 and it looks bang on with HDR

I'll be getting the R9 when at chapter 4, and then stacking it up, for now the default pistol upgraded.

I got it but went with the Sentinel 9 from the deluxe addon and maxed it. Now I've gone on to the Blacktail now, but I have the Matilda and Punisher.

The title screen music is so good, can't stop listening to it :D

I am on Chapter 8 now, man the game is phenomenal. Hats off to Capcom and the devs for this. I have missed a lot of things though but I'll get those on the second playthrough. What pistols you guys using?

Halfway through chapter 5. I got the R9.

Fully upgraded mine already. But I am getting very good use out of the crossbow which I also fully upgraded. Free ammo essentially.

You playing on Standard? the difficulty in some areas seems really high, others not so much. I won't spoil it as you're not as far as me but damn, I died 13 times at one point lol.
