Resident Evil 7!!!

Speed runs remind me of mates who go on motorcycle touring holidays and go everywhere at 100+mph and see nothing of the scenery!

people are doing it in under 2 hrs now, makes you laugh really, 30 quid for a game that can be finished in less time than a movie lol

I made a post about this on reddit and basically got flamed for bringing it up.

I don't know if players are using glitches to exploit the game or purely rushing through the whole game skipping cutscenes etc. If it's the latter, then imo the game played normally can't be very long.

The first ever original resident evil for the PlayStation was completeable under 3 hours. I don't see the issue here. don't buy it if you feel it's too short ?

Indeed. I cant understand people who do it to be quite honest, the game was released on the 24th of January, by the end of that first day people were already doing speedruns of it in 2 hours, given that the first post I saw mentioning a 2 hour speed run was at 7pm on the night of the 24th. They must literally have bought the game, ran through the whole game nonstop from the moment they started, then later that same evening done a speedrun of it in 2 hours. To me, that would simply spoil a game for me. Seems totally counter productive to the aim of gaming as entertainment (for me at least, maybe speedrunners find it entertaining, but its like watching a movie on fast forward imo)

its a way of them craving attention via twitch/youtube etc

never seen the point of it myself either.. only time ive ever done it was with mario 3 back in the day after i had completed it about 25 times :)

I want to play this, but can't really justify spending over £30 on Capcom game :p

My friend's got it, so will see there.

Only way anyone can beat this in 2 hours is using a trainer to speed up walking & running with inf everything!

For most gamers its around 10 hours 1st playthru then same again if you want to go for the achvs.

I had both the original Resident Evil & Metal Gear Solid down to an hour and a half on the original Playstation. Being able to complete a game in under two hours speaks nothing of the quality or value for money provided by a game. The fact you would want to play it multiple times, to get your play time down, surely says more about the quality of the game.

Most games I play nowadays are 'one and done' affairs which I have no desire to revisit. Bear in mind I haven't played #7 so I cannot comment on whether it's a decent purchase.

Watch this.... so funny, especially at the end of the video (when I die)

My eyebrow raise after the end bit was amazing!

What did you guys spend your antique coins on first? Is it worth getting the Magnum straight away - will there be any bullets for it soon after you first get outside to the trailer?

I've played 7 hours already and I've just got past the door with the 3 dog heads... I do have a bit of a habit of running back to the safe room and saving if I've managed to kill some monsters with minimal damage though.
