Resident Evil 7!!!

60fps actually.. But of course that is laggy for your high standards, it must be minimum 100fps/hz or it is trash. How you coped all those years before ultrawide screens and high hz monitors god knows.. :p;)

I dont class a monitor "proper" ultrawide unless its at least 38" and 1800p so im not really sure what hes got. No mans land monitor. :D :D

easyrider the game is incredible on x34 dont know why ur whining all the time.. black bars are completely ignored after 5 mins as the game is so dark it kinda blends in with the game..

graphics are top notch!

It wouldnt bother anyone too much that actually wanted to play the game.

Hopefully get time to finish this over the weekend as its getting harder and harder to avoid spoilers on game Web sites.

2 things i wish were in the game so far are madhouse available from the start! and a no blood on screen option, the constant blood spatter on my screen is getting a bit annoying even on less, though with the alternate screen colour mode b. something or other makes it a bit less noticable!

About 3 hours in now and Jack is starting to become slightly irritating. The game seems to be lacking some subtlety when it comes to fights/action. Builds up the suspense, then goes massively overboard. Apart from that, like it :D

Just tried mine via 4K tv. It set it to 29hz or something but when I set the red to 4K I could chose the refresh rate like normal! When I got in game it was like slow motion though so I set frame rate to variable and now it's fine! Weird! I imagine you have played 4K games before at 60 just fine?

If you haven't tried any 4K games on the to yet, you need hdmi 2.0 to support 4K at 60

Hey man sorry it took me a while get back to you, Yes i have played quite a few games at 4k 60 with my hdmi 2.0 cable.

I will show you my problem and try to explain.

So when i go into the options it shows as this.

It won't let me go past 29.97hz, But if i drop it to 1080p it will let me up it to 60hz like this.

When i go to change it back up to 4k it says 60hz but that's before i apply it.

But when i apply it drops back down to 29hz :(

If i go to the demo though it allows me to play at 4k 60hz

So........Seems i can't play it at 60hz for some reason, i hope they bring out a patch soon as i'm eager to play it. :(

No worries mate I understand your frustration, even though it worked for me it wasn't super straight forward! When I say it ran in slo mo, I don't mean due to fps, it was actually just smooth slow motion god knows why until I changed to variable. Then another time I changed a setting and went back to the game and it was super laggy for no reason! Definitely something going on with the game I think, most just work!

All that said I decided to just go back to the pc monitor as my headphones are wired any way and I found the controller a bit odd after playing a few hours already on kb/m

Hope you get to play it as you intend to! Just weird that the demo worked fine! What have they changed! I have heard that performance between the demo and full product has differed for others too

I wonder if they can ever make a longer RE game, they all seem so short :/.

I honestly don't think 8-10hrs is short for a fairly linear single player game, anything more than that the mechanics of this one would just grow tired like the alien in alien isolation, that game was way too long for what it was and felt like a drag because of deliberate padding!

Even outlast was only 4 hours but to me it felt like 20! Just backtracking and poorly paced made it feel like a slog, very over rated games these two imo

The short game debate I never got an 8-10 hour game if the game itself is great is better than a 20 plus one that becomes boring or just cack. Quality over quantity.
