What really impressed me with RE7 is that they have really made me feel like I'm playing my way through a horror B movie at times - and I love those types of films!

i watched the whole game on youtube, glad i'm holding out for it on sale.

Seems just like 4 and 5 in first person but slightly scarier with more cheap jump out infront of you moments

I just want the t/g virus, sick of these offshoots.

Past halfway for sure, maybe 2/3. But damn, 11 hours and only there?

Goes to show everyone plays it at a different pace. I completed it in little under 11 hours on Normal on my first go taking my time. It does go to show though, people completing it in under 4 hours on their first go on Normal difficulty seem to be playing it wrong

Very subjective. For me it was not that scary, just the moments where things popped out is where it gets me

I could personally never do that and spoil the game for myself. But I will definitely agree with you, I want ZOMBIES BACK!! I want the t/g virus back. Those were the good old days

Still enjoyed RE7, but if they move back to Zombies somehow for RE8 with a proper mansion, it would be the best (for me at least)

I'd say it shows that there is a fundamental difference between "playing" a game and "completing" a game

Just finished RE7, I got the 2nd ending and now i'm doing a play through on madhouse difficulty. It's really fun!

6 core cpu, sli 980ti's and you watch a good/great big release in full on youtube then will buy it in a sale anyway?! :eek:

Not very much, it's got jump scenes that will get you, but other then that, I don't think it's scary or anything, I wouldn't compare it with Alien Isolation for example.

That said, the brightness levels you decide can make a big factor, do you want it to be dark so you can't see or do you want it light so you can see? That can change the scare factor.

Just completed it really enjoyed it, will say it's my third best in the series.

The thing I will say though is I wish it's stayed more horror, once you got past the first battle of the story you grow into a power house with all the guns etc the fear is gone I didn't get scared at all.

The graphics and audio was top quality specially the lighting.
The voice acting was also very well done for a RE game.

Looking forward to the DLC now and hoping the remake of Resi 2 adds first person view very welcome change to the series..

I was watching some Japanese girls play it and the Japanese dubbing is awesome too, they did a good job there.

I hope the DLC will be to add new Story line or something and not some timed based objectives or something.

End of the game first DLC is going to be free also. Kicking myself I didnt pay the extra £5 now for season pass from Cdkeys.

I npticed you could have japanese audio in the options if you wish! I think that may make it a bit scarier as i wouldnt know what they were saying

Easy was very easy, normal seems tricky to me, the black monsters with the axe arm are pretty damn dangerous and you have to back up a few times to take them out. would work better if you could see behind you, so VR might help here.

I'm about 60% through on my 2nd play through on madhouse difficulty and it's insane. Shame it wasn't available on my first play through but it's fun revisiting the game.

Hoping we get VR on the PC next year as i'm envious of those on the PS4 that get to play the game in VR.

I'm heavily considering purchasing the season pass considering i enjoyed the game so much.
