Resident Evil 7!!!

Lol I really don't but at least if I get it on the PS4 I'll get £30 back for it when I sell it, whereas on the PC I'm stuck with it after a play through.

True. You should consider selling your PC and do that with all games :p

I kid, I kid :)

To be honest I get the feeling this is the type of game that would not benefit from 21:9 anyway, so not like you would miss out on much.

Finished the demo, super smooth 60fps here at 4K :D

Was planing on play 30fps with a controller, but might as well play k&m with 60fps.

The game did not feel like a Resident Evil game, well, very little. Let's hope the full game has more Resident Evil like.

Played it for around 3 hours today, i'm very impressed. This is the only demo i've ever played that gives you 3 (to my knowledge) different endings. Consumed my 4Gb of VRAm though, time for an upgrade I think. :(

It's like Resident Evil setting met Condemned: Criminal Origins, really enjoyed it.

Playing at 3440x1440p with black borders..

Everything on ultra and game looks incredible.. pitch black with headphones and controls felt nice with xbox pad..

Defo preordering.

Is the demo a tech demo or how the final thing will play?
It runs fine on my ancient system... fine enough, anyway, but will probably pick it up on console unless I upgrade my PC.

But I've had a few different endings now - haven't quite got a good one, nearly escaped from the attic.
But it's REALLY linear if you MUST do things in a certain order.... and that'll be frustrating if it's the same all the way through..

I realise most games are like this, in a sense, but this seems really limiting.

it runs absolutely brilliantly, completely maxed with SMAA, 1440p and capped it to 60fps as all is needed, doesn't budge one bit from that max fps - on a 390 @ 1440p is pretty impressive.

Finished playing The Evil Within. I enjoyed the gameplay and graphics, but I think the game was let down by it's story and characters. Not a fan of dream world random crap happening personally. The game was frustrating in areas, but for the most part fun to play.

At the end it said I died 46 times. lol. There were times where it took a while to get what you had to do, so I kept dying until I figured it out :o

Well worth the £4 I paid for it. If you can pick it up for cheap, I can recommend it to anyone who may have missed it and is looking for something while waiting for Resident Evil 7 :D

Played through the demo twice...

Stained two pairs of pants :D

Game is great, in the dark with headphones on, every little noise gives me shivers :)

Just started evil within! Despite being poorly optimised it is drenched in awesome atmosphere and I quite like the black bars makes it more cinematic imo

Having issues with resi 7 demo, it won't launch! Click play and steam thinks about it for less than a second and that's it, rinse and repeat with no avail:(

I was in a mental hospital and escaped (i think, or am I thinking of Outlast? - been playing both) ... then I was in a cell, then I was in a forest, and i'm still in a forest. Or did I jump off a bridge, then I climbed up again and some crazy doctor dude is running for a gate.

I have no idea where I'm up to.

That's about where I am :D maybe it makes more sense later.. maybe

The story starts making more sense maybe in the last third of the game. Story was the weakest point for me. Oh and I never had any black bars, have a look at settings maybe?

Not long left for Resident Evil 7, hopefully amazon post a day earlier so I can pre-load :D

Indeed thanks! I'm aware the black bars can be toggled on or off was just saying I think I like it with them controversially :3

Still can't get resi 7 demo to launch :/ so now don't know if I can buy it as it may not start either!

Tried redownloading etc

It will make some sort of sense later on and apparently the DLC levels explain the story a bit further although I haven't picked them up yet. I like how it seems as if the story is jumping around though, it adds to the general feeling of WTF you have throughout the game and is true to Asian horror movies that tend to jump around with the plot/story that us western folk tend to find a bit harder to follow but ultimately is all part of the uncomfortable experience a horror should be. Amazing game though, I loved it and actually miss playing it.

Regarding Resident Evil 7, I have pre-ordered it but haven't tried the demo yet as I'm afraid it will either spoil the experience or put me off. Should I try it or just wait?
