Resident Evil 7!!!

I'm downloading the demo now looking forward to playing it. I just hope to god they give it a VR mode down the line for it.

As i'm jealous as a HTC Vive owner that PSVR players get to play the entire game in VR.
 
Evil within is fantastic apart from narrative gripes! The characters don't even seem concerned about where they are and why they keep jumping about :D

Chapter 6 now, the setting here isn't as good as the past few chapters but still loving the challenge and ammo scarcity etc


Still can't get the resi 7 demo to boot so I don't even know if I can buy it in case the foul game has the same issue! Click play, steam thinks about it for a few seconds they the play button on steam can be clicked again

just downloading this demo now, hope its good and works for me lol I loved the early resi games but havnt enjoyed them since resi 4, I didn't think 4 was as good as what most people seemed to think, the first few were my faves
 
Just started the demo now, initial impressions are extremely good. The change to first person is superb and I am loving the detail in the graphics, some fantastic textures and brilliant atmostphere so far. If the rest of the game is like this then this is a definite purchase for me.

Just to rub it in - it's amazing in VR :p The levels of tension don't compare at all in 2D!
 
well I had one ctd so had to start the demo again and finished the demo in 13 mins! lol I did get the bad ending but it was VERY quick, I find the performance a little strange as well, I was getting 80fps+ for most of it but then I watched a video which you also take control of, I was getting over 100fps in that section, then when it snapped back to me in the house my fps went from what was 80fps+ to 40fps with didps into the 30s?

I think I'm going to have another play through as I didn't even explore upstairs in the house at all
 
I really want this game, the only issue is I want to play it in VR. At the moment it seems that Sony as a timed exclusive on this which means getting psvr.

Just don't know whether to get this on PC and hope VR support is sooner than 12 months or get this on my ps4 pro and grab a VR kit.... What are others doing? Really think that this will be the first full length AAA game to show what VR truly can do.

The RE7 demo is the first thing to convince me we can have a proper, flagship title in VR with current tech. I love VR, it's pretty much the only thing I play these days, but so far it's been limited to experiences and mini games. RE7, if it builds on the demo, will be something quite different.
 
I mentioned this in the Console section, but despite the fact I could play in 4K on my OLED TV, the PSVR just makes it so much more spooky and scary.

Playing it on a 2D screen felt like a bit of a damp squib after the PSVR experience.

As such it's one of the few 'multi-platform' titles that I will get on the console as opposed to the "better" PC version.
