I am guessing this is not that far away from release now. They will; be showcasing it on January 21st. I get the feeling we will get a release date then.

Nice - it's my most anticipated game for 2021.
For me it is probably 3rd most anticipated after Dying Light 2 and Vampire Masquerades Bloodlines 2.

I wonder if we will hear any other news about another Resident Evil project, like say RE4 remake. I just hope they stop with the multiplayer stuff. Waste of resources.

I hear there are invites going out to RE Ambassador Program participants to take part in a closed beta for something that will be officially announced on the 25th. I fear it will be a multiplayer effort though.
Yeah. Sad as they never get it right and I am not interested in mp anyways. It would have to be something pretty special to get me to play it. Tried their last effort, was not my cup of tea.

Resident evil 5 coop was great on xbox 360 IMO.
Played it with my brother. Was not bad, but poor game I thought. I am thinking they will do something more like resistance rather than co-op.

One thing I hated was being stuck with an AI when playing single player in RE5.

I haven't even bothered trying the multiplayer in the new one. I just assumed it would be bad. I would rather play battlefield/cod/overwatch if I want multiplayer shooter.
Exactly. Hence why they should stick to putting all the effort into the single player experience in my opinion. Like RE3 Remake could have been an hour or two longer if not for the multiplayer crap perhaps.

I would still buy RE4 Remake, even though I would MUCH prefer a Code Veronica remake. Though I would not buy it day one and just pick it up on sale probably. Where as a Code Veronica remake I would buy day one and happy to pay full price.

All in for the day 1

ME TOO!!!!

If AMD do a deal with CAPCOM again and I find someone selling a code for £20 or there abouts like RE2R and RE3R then I will grab it day 1 also. That said it does depend on how I feel around the time, as if I fancy some Resi and the reviews are good then I will grab it anyway. But right now I am busy with a bunch of other games :)

But you are a fellow RE pro and we all need to discuss at the same time =_[

Might take annual leave tbh!
Haha. That is true, I did enjoy discussing RE with you when you was going through them all last year :)

As long as Village reviews well which I get the feeling it will, I will buy that day one. But RE4R will need to be £30 or under for me to buy it day one.

If CAPCOM come out and confirm they are working on CV then I will reward them and buy all 3 day one :p

I think the video on steam looks good, I will grab it before day 1 off greenman or cdkeys when it shows up.

Looks a lot like 7 and I liked that game.
Just had a look at price on steam. I think I will be waiting for a price drop. Was not happy to see them wasting more resources on multiplayer crap.

I wonder if they still are working on a big RE title, because I recall reading this was one of their side projects that turned out better than expected so they put more resources in. Maybe RE4 remake next year and a proper RE8 year after?

Resident Evil 3 has been around £10 for months now and it's not even a year old. No way would I pay day 1 prices for this.
I will wait and see how it reviews and how many hours to complete the game and will base my buying in price on that.

I am happy to buy a game day 1 full price if it is exactly what I want. But RE Village is not exactly it, but potentially close enough, hence why I arrived at £30 based on what I have seen so far. Now I would pay full price for a RE Code Veronica Remake for example or a any other RE game that takes it back to its roots and has good characters (not bland Ethan).

It’s that time again.

Here is my latest list and where I think RE Village will slot in.

1- Resident Evil Remake
2- Resident Evil 2
3- Resident Evil: Code Veronica
4- Resident Evil
5- Resident Evil 3
6- Resident Evil 2 Remake
7- Resident Evil 0
8- Resident Evil 3 Remake
9- Resident Evil Village
10-Resident Evil 4
11- Resident Evil 7
12- Resident Evil 5
13- Resident Evil: Revelations
14- Resident Evil: Revelations 2
15- Resident Evil 6

The highest I recon it can go based on what I have seen so far is position 7. But you never know. It could also end up is position 12.

I liked every single one apart from number 3 remake.

Didn't like the on rails 4 hour campaign bs.

Favourites are like 1,2,4,5,7. I know 4 and 5 were not exactly horror but I really liked the custom guns on 4 and the coop on 5, also number 5 was one of the best looking Xbox 360 games.

I think number 1 on PlayStation 1 will always be special to me because it was the game I first played on PlayStation 1.

The biggest let down of number 7 was the fact they sold the rights to Sony for the VR version and I had a rift setup and the game.

Hopefully this one will have HDR again, I think all capcom games do now.
I liked 3 remake, certainly much better than RE5 and 6. But I agree I did not like that it was so on rails and action oriented. If it was exactly like the original but with things added like the original remake then I would have rated it a lot better. They messed up nemesis. They should have had him pop up randomly throughout the game at different times and none of the cut scene rubbish.
