So not sure if this forum is dying or not but did anyone else catch the Resident Evil showcase the other day where they showed off a trailer for Resident Evil 8?

Those enemies in the torture chamber look like they could be series top tier enemies!

Thought it looked fantastic, and cannot wait for this. Really liked RE7 (although quality dropped off immensely outside the house).


Game releases May 7th on PS5/Xbox/PS4/Xbox one and PC and an exclusive demo is available for PS5 players right now.

Resi 1 vibes with the main gallery landing and stairwell.

DF impressions here. Quite spoilery there's some outside footage I've not seen before which isn't part of the demo. Still good to see 4K 60fps with RT looking good for next gen consoles. HDR implementation in the demo is also incredible.

 
Finished this at the weekend. It was decent though didn’t find it as scary as the RE7 demo but maybe that’s because I’ve got used to the formula. Excellent sound design though and the visuals looked nice, much cleaner than RE7 as less filmic effects probably because they don’t need to disguise anything due to having more power on the ps5. Excellent hdr too which is so important graphically I think now. Not watched the DF vid yet and can’t say I noticed any ray tracing. Tbh after Miles - Morales it’ll be much harder to spot as that game was made for ray tracing with all the buildings windows.
 
This releases tomorrow, just pre-ordered it on eBay so not sure I'll get it this weekend but the reviews have been positive.

Not really a fan of horror games, can't really enjoy them with my partner as she gets too scared, and I'm not always far behind, but the demo for this was amazing.

Played through the latest remake of 2 and loved 4 back in the day, I've heard this is similar in tone and style to 4 so that's all I needed to hear.

ShopTo on eBay have it for £43.88 if you use the discount on the sale page. Ordered it on PS5.
 
i got shipping confirmation from base last night says posted via royal mail 48hr so fingers crossed it turns up tomorrow as i have actually booked the daly off work to make the most of it.

Played the demo and really enjoyed it, though i only managed to get around 15minutes in the castle because i used 45 in the village
 
Game Collection sent me shipping notification on this yesterday too - hoping arrives tomorrow as I'd like to give it plenty of time over the weekend.
 
I've cancelled my preorder this morning for this whilst I am so heavily invested in Returnal. I'll grab it when I am ready to play it. Reviews are pretty decent so far so I know it's going to be something that I'll enjoy. It's just going to have to wait a bit.
