Retro console and games thread

Scored some loot myself today! My friend got a mint condition boxed Spice colour GameCube (Yes, I'm seriously jealous :p) and got a platinum GameBoy Player with it too. He gave me the GameBoy Player which is now attached to my Platinum GC :D Sadly however as it's a Japanese one the boot disc supplied with it won't boot on my machine. Don't suppose anyone has a spare GameBoy Player boot disc they'd be willing to part with? I'd gladly give you my JP one in exchange! It's either that or buying a modchip for my Cube :p

Can anyone recommend me some Commodore 64 titles to check out that are not available on the Sinclair Spectrum?

With having a Spectrum when I was younger, I missed out on the Commodore exclusives and I think it's time I made amends.

I've already checked out most of the multi format games (e.g. Wizball) that are arguably better on the C64 which in Wizballs case is very true (omg! look at all of the colour and the sound!) :D

So again my question is can someone recommend me some C64 exclusives to check out :)

Quick update (excuse pics camera is at work) finally got moved into my new man cave the wife decorated bless her and I built my console unit which im very happy with built to my own spec to house only the consoles that I have and intend to get. You might be able to tell which ones by the ones I have already still a few to go getting one delivered tomorrow, the games on the shelf are just there as I have nowhere for them to go yet need to make up some more shelves. Note the retro wallpaper that parts not finished yet, thats all getting painted too along with the actual unit when I get more time.

The Mega Drive 2 I had For Sale on here wasn't the above...

Not sold the SMS1 maybe the near £100 was a bit heavy, but to me it is worth the asking due to quality of the unit and box. Maybe one day it will actually fetch this or more...

Maybe when I get a pay rise... :p

That Master System looks awesome in that condition and it brings back memories of the one I used to have. Oh, how I miss the days of spending hours trying to beat Transbot. :o

Forget the pay rise, buy it now :p

Bagged some more games for it too...due to it not selling :o

Arcade Smash Hits
Bonanza Bros
Donald Duck Lucky Dime Caper
Enduro Racer
Great Golf
Mickey Mouse Land of Illusion
Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion
Pro Wrestling
Thunder Blade

All games I buy for this Console are the best I can find for my budet, boxed with manuals.

There's quite a lot more I now intend to buy for it...as well as a RGB Scart Cable.

Honestly, if I'd had the money this month, I would have done! :p

Back in the day, I had a few good games for mine.

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic Chaos
Afterburner
One of the Alex Kidd games
The Flintstones (so hard!)
Prince of Persia
Operation Wolf
TransBot
The Ninja

Good memories. Kind of wish I hadn't let my dad swap it for a stack of PS1 games, but back then, I just wanted more games and didn't care for the old Master System. :o

No problem, you know where I am if you do wish to buy. You're probably local to me being in Lancs :)

Sonic Chaos I must get but is sought after...

I want Out Run and Rambo 3 :p

It is a good console with many great memories to relive, better than dare I say it? The Mega Drive
