i only paid a couple of quid for that dreamcast if i can remeber.I dont know why i have all those snes's i just keep buying them when i see them on local bootsales ect for a few quid.I normaly buy them because they have games with them.

Hehe think i still have mega drive and snes in the loft somewhere. Not touched em for years. I might go and find em, just to see if i can still play sonic (never did manager to get past the laberynth zone in sonic 1, still i was really young though :)

managed to get another (my 4th) Dreamcast off ebay for £17ish, here:

Dont know why I sold my other 3, but I always seem to regret it and buy another, now to find another copy of Shenmue II.

In a moment of madness about a year ago, I threw away my US Panasonic 3DO just because the joystick port was loose, SF2 was ace on that, as was Need For Speed.

Wow thats a good buy. I wouldnt mind a DS just to play 355 challenge on it but I know it has a lot of good games for it. I used to know someone who had a whole bookcase of them along with two light guns and a driving wheel.
All sitting collecting dust when really its no worse then a modern console in most respects. At least as good as a PS2 imo.

Can the controllers be adapted to pc use, I liked the triggers on them

Great thread. Will have to go hunt around the loft for my ZX81, ZX Spectrum and Commodore Amiga 500 with the half meg upgrade cartridge that cost a small fortune.

Anyone know of any good emulators for the Spectrum and Amiga. I'd love to play Sabre Wulf, Alien Breed and Speedball 2 again.

I had one of these, I remember only paying about £20-£30 for it. Then they went into short supply around the time the PS2 was launched so the prices went sky hi, sold mine for close to £55!

Doesn't anyone have one of the Panasonic Gamecubes? They were chrome or silver? They could play normal dvds instead of just gamecube games....only saw one myself.

they permanently have one of those in a shop in cambridge for sale at over 300 quid.

They look cool but you gotta be pretty hardcore to buy one.

Where would someone find (or start to look for) a cabinet like that Turbo Outrun one?
They occasionally come up on eBay, there's usually plenty of generic Jamma (wiring standard for most pcbs and cabinets) cabs on there, and usually quite a few dedicated (as in Turbo Outrun, etc) ones on there.
Your best bet is to join an arcade forum and see what's about, that's how I got hold of my Electrocoin Goliath Jamma cabinet. :D

I used to dearly love my atari 800XL

used to have some amazing games

Rainbow Walker was a favourite, Bristles, Star Raiders II, Bruce Lee..it had some amazingly playable games..
most of mine came in pirated form sadly from america with a few games on each 5 1/4 disk
