Retro console and games thread

Quick question.

Anyone know how many wires a RGB Scart lead is meant to have?
Because unlike I previously thought, I don't think my Neo Geo Scart is RGB, seems to be missing a good 10+ wires. :o

Depends how it's wired.

Neogeo

Neogeo has 8 pins. You could drop two of them (generally you have composite video or sync, not both) and +5V could be dropped as it's just the switching signal on scart.

So Neogeo can be wired for rgb with just 6 :).

I picked this lot up recently, the main reason I bought it was for the two Zipstiks (my stick of choice back in the day) so anything else was a nice bonus.

#1 - The Amiga itself is in absolute mint condition, looks brand new, pure white and seal intact so will most probably need recapping but I've tested it and it's working great. Again the mouse (Commodore A0189203 marked on the bottom) apart from a small green pen mark which I'll clean off soon is in perfect condition and the Zipstiks are also in tip top working order.

#2 - Opened up the trapdoor expecting to find nothing but was surprised to see this MP604B 1MB Chip Ram expansion card.

#3 - A boxed Quickshot Maverick joystick also included:

#4 - External Sony FDD again in mint condition:

#5 - It came with a few boxed games (plus the usual multitude of loose floppy disks which I won't bother putting here as this post is long enough already):

#6 - Manuals/Various

It has the larger style power supply but you all know what those look like, the only missing item really is the outer box itself, I do have the bag and polystyrene blocks for the Amiga and the box for the PSU.

Really pleased with all that, mainly for the joysticks for my expanded A1200 but nice to have another classic Amiga in the collection.

Hadn't picked up anything in a while, grabbed these last week:

Only picking up games I want to play and at sensible prices so my list is getting short now, basically all expensive stuff left which I refuse to pay crazy prices for so fingers crossed for lucky eBay finds.

Found myself stopping with the sega thing now although I did by another dreamcast the other day purely down to it being 15 delievered hah.

Found myself going for Nintendo stuff, after a black pocket if anyone knows anyone ;) and a black original.

I find several people talking about some form of retro forum they trade on, anyone got a link pwease?

I've managed to narrow down as to what and why I collect though, everything I collect and or want has basically been in my life at somepoint in one form or another, either wanting it or a friend having it or my brother breaking it then leaving for the army though now im having a bit more cash its starting to hurt my bank :(

In addition to post 5000....

Today I bought this..........
I have no need for a spare Megadrive but it came with it. I am just pleased I have a barely used Mega CD in the box with all cables. I do need instructions though.

Had to give one the machines a work a clean the other day..

Lovely I collect arcade games myself. I have two Neogeo MVS a One slot in a Neo Geo arcade cabinet and a four slot which I connect to a classic Sony CRT via a super gun. I connect two AES sticks to the supergun. It gives all the AES experience with all original hardware but at a fraction of the cost.

I may be getting a another original Konami beatem up soon Vendetta. I play Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles a lot and thought I could do with some new PCBs.

Nostelgia :)

Was their many good games out for the mega CD? I only remember playing Tomcat Alley and . ...a wild west game. But they were both pretty much videos. We're they all like that?

Ohhh yeah! Forgot about that. Now if I remember correctly, was sonic CD the one where you looked at sonic from behind? Or a mix of both?
