Retro console and games thread

Stop selling your stuff then :D

I bought your SNES and your Gamecube a while back.

Lol :p I didn't have the choice back then unfortunately as I needed the money :o
When I've got some spare again, I'll sort out another Dreamcast I think.

My latest purchase :) CBS Colecovision, dated 1982. Been after one of these for ages and had to pay more than i care to say :o

Can't wait, PS3 is a crap 'social' console and the Cube is compact so I'll be taking it to college some days to play with mates when we're allowed some time to chillax. :D

£30 new, bargain of the year for me.

Anyone ever have one of these ?

"The Doctor V64 (also referred to as "V64") is a development and backup device made by Bung Enterprises Ltd that is used in conjunction with the Nintendo 64. The Doctor V64 also had the ability to play Video CDs, audio CDs and had an option for applying stereo 3D effects to the audio."

N64 Doctor v64 :D Never had one my self but allways fancied one but could never seem to find any where that sold them

Also the Z64

"The Mr. Backup Z64 is a Nintendo 64 game cartridge backup unit designed to store your game images on Zip Diskettes. Units such as this one are faced with legal issues, due to the fact that the general public can download these backup files from internet sites such as RomHustler and RomNation, and play them using an emulator such as Project64.

Unlike the Doctor V64, this backup unit plugs into your Nintendo 64's cartridge slot, which may get in the way."

I have one of those in my attick - not as in good condition as yours but fully working anyway. Are they worth anything?

Also, I noticed a market stall in my local town centre with an Atari 2600 plus a few games... I thought about buying it, but was undecided. Are these old consoles worth having and holding onto?

Check ebay for colecovisions, you'll see how much they are fetching. They're worth a lot more when boxed and complete. Lets just say I could have bought a brand new PSP for less than i payed for mine :o

As for the Atari, they fetch less, but still pull in a few quid. Depends on what model it is really, the "Heavy Sixers" with the Sunnyvale mark are worth the most (these where the 1st models). Again these are worth far more when boxed and complete.

Edit: if your selling any games for the Colecovision, i would be interested :)
