Retro console and games thread

Anyone ever have one of these ?

"The Doctor V64 (also referred to as "V64") is a development and backup device made by Bung Enterprises Ltd that is used in conjunction with the Nintendo 64. The Doctor V64 also had the ability to play Video CDs, audio CDs and had an option for applying stereo 3D effects to the audio."

N64 Doctor v64 :D Never had one my self but allways fancied one but could never seem to find any where that sold them

Also the Z64

"The Mr. Backup Z64 is a Nintendo 64 game cartridge backup unit designed to store your game images on Zip Diskettes. Units such as this one are faced with legal issues, due to the fact that the general public can download these backup files from internet sites such as RomHustler and RomNation, and play them using an emulator such as Project64.

Unlike the Doctor V64, this backup unit plugs into your Nintendo 64's cartridge slot, which may get in the way."

I had one of these v64's and got another for my bro, used to fit loads of roms onto a cd, was ok until the games had bigger memory chips and you needed that extra cartridge you see plugged in on top, until then I got away with using goldeneye or zelda, i took it down the console shop years ago and they wouldnt take it as my mate took his in 3 months earlier and they gave him £80 for it but still hadnt sold it on lol

Posted these in another thread but realised probably better off here. I present my Dreamcast, with a nice case modification. Bought for about £30 in a local game shop a few years ago, controllers were normal DC controllers but lovely case :)

I remember the first gaming computer in the house was a Sony MSX, it came free with a television, the television had the seperate little wheels to tune in each channel! must have been mid - late 80's

it may still be in the loft! :D

I will add to this in due course, I collect old home computers and consoles and have around 40 of them at present, all boxed, most mint.

Anyone ever play the old arcade game 'Vendetta'??

It was amazing. A really decent side scrolling beat em up but nobody else has ever even heard of it :(

Honestly, one of my top five games ever :D

I have played Vendetta, it is pretty good. There are multiple versions because of some guys in leather that lick you as an attack.

My friends and I thought that the main characters were based on characters from Rocky. Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, Thunderlips and Drago

In the Asian version they do!!!

As for the characters... You might be right!! Never thought about it before. They're pretty generic 90's beat em up characters, but now that you mention it.

Definately T and Hogan, not sure about the other two....

Chuffed someone else played it :)

I remember playing that game when I was 10. I think it was also called Crime Killers and the 3rd level where you was attacked by the gay guys in the leather jackets . Me and my brother was shocked when we first saw that level, our mum wasnt very impressed when she was watching over our shoulders....lol.

It's a SCPH-9002 module, so the last model of the original Playstation that Sony made. It came with two dual shock controllers, the original manual, even the original receipt of purchase from Dixons! Absolutely perfect, as new condition.

Got it setup in the spare room along with my Sega Mega Drive II and old school CRT television that is still going strong.

Annoying that I'm having to re-buy all of my old consoles. Originally had an original Mega Drive, Playstation, Dreamcast and Playstation 2. Let them all go, stupidly :(

Just need some games for the Playstation now...
